If Manuel Pellegrini gets sacked, who do you think will replace him?

I'd have to go with either Alan Pardew or Ronald Koeman...
Your thoughts guys?

Carlo Ancelotti, if he isn't at Madrid next season. He will win the Premier League for sure if he goes to City.

I'm fairly sure they'll offer big money for Simeone and he's their number 1 choice...... but whether he will move I don't know.

@Dynastian With actual City squad there's no way they will win Premier League next season. They need to rebuild half of the squad at least.

Why would they sack him?

He won them the Premier League last season.
He got them past the group stages of the CL.
He reunited the locker room.
He dealt with egos.

Besides, he is only a couple of points away from being second again. The season isn't over yet. There is also no proper replacement that can beat Mourinho for the EPL at the moment, and don't tell me Ancelotti because it's highly unlikely that he will not be given more time at Madrid. What Pellegrini needs is more time, not a plane ticket back home.

@FF0Dessip: "He got them past the group stages of the CL."

You make it sound like that was an actual achievement. As the reigning champions of England qualification for the knockout stages should be self-evident. The truth is, Pellegrini is not a top-class manager, he is more of a manager for teams like Everton, who usually challenge for a place in the Top 5. He may be able to unite the big characters of City and Madrid, but he only knows how to play one style of football. I dare you to think of a manager who is as unflexible as Pellegrini from a tactical point of view (apart from Wenger).

Pellegrini is a good coach, if you remember, he was able to qualify Malaga to CL quarters defeated miraculously by Dortmund with 2 questionable goals in injury time second leg, the year Dortmund went to the final.

The problem isnt Pellegrini himself, he will get sacked just like Mancini because of City direction...

Mancini won the league and got sacked being 2nd in the second year, what i noticed is that its not a coach problem but City players go mentally on vacation each time they win the league, specially Yaya Toure...
Its the second time they win the league and loose consistence the year after, plus City direction dream is CL, they look far from being CL contenders each compain while they saw Chelsea repeating good CL compains and even winning it, PSG assembled their squad years after them and they had better compains and seem to progress each year deserving the statue of outsiders for next year compain with the experience they got lately... City is far from this.

Yaya Toure departure to CAN costed City a lot as they were putting pressure on Chelsea just before he went into Africa, unlucky for them Ivory coast went to the final and won it, missing Yaya for more than a month in the crucial boxing day, the 2 signings Bony and Mangala who costed a lot didnt made it to the starting XI, so its also a signing problem...

So imo the direction should think twice before sacking him, they already did a wrong decision to sack Mancini, that was undeserved and they seem to lack patience again in sacking Pellegrini.

The best diagnostic is to fire one or two dressing room captains to send a clear message to the squad and newcommers, no one has his future granted so future slip ups could be avoided...

I would sell Yaya Toure, Fernandinio, Sagna, Dimichelis and Dzeko... must keep Hart, Kompany, Silva and El Kun and build with them a new ambitious and motivated squad, but could Financial Fair play allow it ? Would they earn any money from departures ? I really doubt it, transition could be very painful...

Jurgen Klopp

Jorge Jesus - because I think City needs Jesus more than ever to save their a*s next season .

Alan Pardew - why bring someone from abroad when you have domestic manager with stats in Newcastle and now CP backing him as one of the best managers in EPL .

Donald Duck is available and Ronald Mcdonald - they can both come as a manager team . I am not sure they will accept it though . might need a big wage offer.

Pochettino is rumoured there but I hope and think City will go for a bigger name like Klopp or something.

I would love Guardiola too...it would make EPL very very interesting with Jose, Pep, Arsene, LVG, Pochettino, and Rodgers!

Eh Guardiola will not leave Bayern any time soon . Why ? What for ? He has fantastic squad . He has backing of the club . Huge budget and winning Bundesliga is piece of cake , so he concentrates well on CL .

While City needs a lot of work to be done . England is rainy , foggy and snowy . No breaks in winter and manchester lets be honest is one of the worst cities in England . ( Some of you may disagree but city has high crime rate , ugly and dirty ) . Many players always drive out of manchester to have fun or come to London .

Plus , I don't think Guardiola wants to jump into same aquarium with Jose again . I think Jurgen Klopp on the other hand would love to come ofcourse if he is convinced .
