so as we know we have panic bought welbeck as a backup for Giroud as he is injured till January. How do you think he'll do? United fans tell me if he's good cos I've watched him a couple of times he was best player for united against Real madrid in the 2012-13 ucl game and he was a threat vs bayern munich last season as he caused problems for Dante and Boateng but Neuer catched his chip. The thing he's missing is composure to shoot and he needs to improve his shooting. Also his first touch is dreadful. I think he will adapt well since he knows the BPL well and he will have a easy time adjusting with English players such as Wilshere,Gibbs,Chambers,Walcott,Chamberlain he wont find it hard to communicate. He was wasted at united on the bench as RVP And Rooney started ahead of him. A good target for him would be to get atleast 15 goals this season with Ozil,Cazorla,Sanchez,Wilshere,Ramsey,Walcoot ( coming back soon ) alll being to provide balls to him.

Danny Welbeck has failed to score in his last 8 consecutive and last 11 European games since he scored a hat-trick against Galatasaray in September 2014 on his Champions League debut for Arsenal.

Not his fault he got injured and yes, I know Welbeck was well-rated back in the days, but buying him was nosense to me. Much better strikers were on the market during that period.

Wow, that signing ended up being a bust. I guess Welbeck isn't really bad but he certainly not good either. Giroud was way better than him as striker, thats for sure. Wonder if he will ever live up to the hype people had for him? Who know, maybe in a alternate universe where thing would have been different for him, he could have suceeded.

Welbeck will do better than Lukaku.

I'm not going to pick on this comment, but I will note how two player who had assumed similar ability took very different career trajectories. Young players are pretty fickle, hard to know how they will turn out. Sucks for Welbeck.
