That's harsh. As far as I'm concerned Mike Dean DID say that and Gabriel went ahead and did something idiotic anyway. In my opinion, this is on Costa, who turned this into a perfect situation for Chelsea and used Dean to do it.

harsh? No mate, that was totally spot on. Mike Dean is a good referee, but too often draws attention to himself, like Im the boss here. With all due respects, Mike was absolutely SH!t today, Costa should have been sent off tiwce, ok Gabriel was stupid and could be a red... but comon.

Garth Crooks has made a statement that has bothered me for so long, and especially when the American makes fun of the diving, and calling "soccer" a ***** sport: TREAT THEM LIKE MAN.

When you gotta go you gotta go, harsh sliding tackles, punching, pulling, verbal insult etc... But this??? Give them a big ass warning and that IS IT!

A red and a game is totally ruined, fans didn't pay for that ****.

I thought Mike Dean told them to calm down. How else should referee react when he witness misconduct in front of his eyes ?

He was in loose and loose situation with fans that Gabriel put him into . So he choose the one that was right according to a book .

Although I hate Mike Dean . I never like his refereeing . He always messes with big matches .

@tuan_jinn: lol, they also boycott the coffee shop "Costa Coffee". Quite hilarious.

MOu said: " He played like he has to play and that is why you have full stadiums and you sell football to television around the world for millions and millions. Because the game has to be played like that, OK? Man of the match, for me.". He made the point of entertaining... sadly though, it's part of the game and it's important. Controversy is always interesting whether we like it or not
