FootyRoom members, what is the best CB partnership of the EPL in your opinion?

The reason for this silly question is because of my argument with Footaholic about whether Cahill - Terry or Koscielny - Mertesacker is the best CB partnership in the EPL.

Mine is obviously Cahill - Terry, so what's yours?

By stats and overall it's gotta be (Cahill - Terry) hands down.

Cahill - Terry.

Ah, the days when Ferdinand and Vidic and Pique and Puyol ruled the World.

In England : Cahill-Terry

My favourite : Thiago Silva - Alex, perfect intent, both scores many goals : Thiago is one of the best header in the world and Alex is good in long free-kicks...
Thiago Silva is actually the best CB in the world imo.

I think Evans-Jones has so much potential and it has proved to be really good for United early in the season.

It's obvious that Terry / Cahill are better than Koscielny / Mertesacker...

@rama: Don't forget Terry - Carvalho as well. They also ruled the world. They played a massive role in helping Chelsea break the record for least goals conceded in a season (04/05), which was 15 goals.

Shawcross - Huth Not kidding if they played behind a better midfield they would easily be called the best.

Clearly it's Chelsea's back line. Only 22 goals allowed this season with the best defensive record.

^ They've also had an impressive run of clean sheets in 2014 as well. In-form, they're the best defensive duo by far (regardless of the number of goals they conceded before 2014).

Well, @ Vendeta, I admit you were right on this one. The majority seem to think Cahill & Terry have been superior to Koscielny & mertesacker this season. I simply don't agree but I appear to be in the minority.

It's okay man, that's you're opinion and I respect it. If I go against others' opinions, then I have no right to debate.
