What I thought was that Everton did a very good job with the offence and the defense but it was a bit hard having David De Gea playing in the Olympics and then coming and playing in the opening game. Nothing special about Van Persie vs Everton but it was a well deserved win against Manchester United.

People are being over dramatic  first game the season. 

stats were on man utd's side, we had almos a 70-30% possetion, more shots and goal chances so I wouldn't worry much considering we had almost no defenders. We all know Carrick is a top class player but he can't play as a defender, and we witness that today.
