Interesting list.
This is what mine would be like:
for me
@Awais
Haha! Lol. You'd choose Barca over Madrid when Barca haven't beaten them in a major competition since a 3-2 win all the way in 2011-12? Madrid have (since then), beaten Barcelona 3 times and drawn them twice, and not losing even once (excluding Supercopa matches).
Also to note, Barca have not addressed their problems in this transfer market. They need a defender, but instead of BUYING one, they sell Andreu Fontas, and another promising CB in Marc Muniesa. They've also sold Thiago, resulting in a lack of depth in midfield now. Buying Neymar da Silva instead of promoting Deulofeu and Rafinha was also a very bad move. Say what you will, Tito is not Pep, and Barcelona are on the decline.
And I also find it interesting that you put Man City over Madrid, when we've already BEATEN Man City last term 4-3 on aggregate. :)
@Everyone
And I didn't include Juventus on the list precisely because Buffon is on the decline. Buffon is a major key to their defense, and with Pirlo's lack of mobility and Buffon's decline, I'm not convinced that Juve can hold off the devastating attacks these 5 teams above can make up.

"Haha! Lol. You'd choose Barca over Madrid when Barca haven't beaten them in a major competition since a 3-2 win all the way in 2011-12?"
Childish way of thinking.
I am bored to explain that face to face results doesnt prove which team is better.
Take for example the season 2011-2012.
Madrid was Outstanding,unstoppable won the league gathering 100 points and scoring 121 goal but Barcelona hummiliated them twice and if they hadnt to face so many injuries they wont have even lost at camp nou to madrid.
But that year madrid was by far better and more "stable" than barca during the season.
@Dynastian98
so what you are saying that Real Madrid beat Barca and therefore are above on the list? what about Dortmund?
they beat Madrid, so why are they not above Real? youhave a weird way of thinking
@Dynastian
maybe Madrid is above Mancity but not above Barca cause just head to head doesn't matter and Barca is more consistent than Madrid in LaLiga so consistency is necessary to win league that's why i chose Barca over Madrid
PSG jersey, looks like they are about to eat something. xD The white cloth around their neck looks like a napkin. LOL
@Don
You didn't "humiliate" us twice. You beat us 3-1, and that was it. We tied 2-2 and lost 3-2 in the cup, and we beaet you guys 2-1 at the Camp Nou. As far as I'm concerned, we beat you fair and square.
@Awais
You clearly don't watch much Spanish football. We had Ramos out with a suspension for multiple games, Pepe injured, Coentrao injured, Marcelo broke his leg, Carvalho injured, Casillas broke his hand, Arbeloa injured....
We had NO defense for a majority of the season. It's a miracle that Mourinho pushed us up from there to 2nd in the league, to the finals of the Copa del Rey, and to the semis of the CL.
@WayneRooney
Dortmund are not above Real because they lost Gotze. When Gotze played, Dortmund won 4-1, 2-1, and tied us 2-2. The moment Gotze limped off with an injury, Madrid won 2-0, and could've won by more. You see the difference? Madrid is better than Dortmund at the moment.
@Dynastian98
are these rankings for next season?
Based on last season alone and summer activities:
Barcelona (-1 for signing Neymar)-(2)
Based on these arbitrary and non-structured way of looking at things, the new rankings are:
Notice that there were ties, but I gave superiority to the team that had the higher ranking to begin with. And I did not view all new managers as favorable to the team in question. The fact is most of these clubs are going through dramatic changes (6/9 of which have brought in new managers), so it is too early to determine and for all we know there might be a few surprises next year, but this is the best I could do.
My opinion:
@TheGame
You rate Barcelona too highly. Buying Nermar doesn't solve all their problems. Yes, it takes off some pressure from Messi, but their main problem is their defense. And so far, they've done nothing to fix it.
Puyol is old
Pique is insanely inconsistent
Alba gets caught up too far
Alves doesn't even bother to defend
Bartra needs more playing time
Fontas has been sold
Muniesa has been given out for free
Abidal has been given out for free
Mascherano is not even a CB
poor Busquets is left all on his own far too many times
and Montoya is the only good defender they have, and they barely use him
...so who DO they have in defense? If a team has no adequate defenders, no matter how destructive their attack and midfield are, they're going to lose. Just look how easily Bayern tore apart Barcelona. When Barca will face teams with creative attacks like Dortmund, they're going to get torn apart. I find that Madrid, Juventus, Bayern, Dortmund, and PSG all to be better than Barcelona at the moment.
1) Bayern
2) Barcelona
3) Chelsea
4) Madrid
5) Man City
I don't know what on earth PSG are doing on this list, and while I definitely rate BVB as a top-quality team, I think that's greatly down to Klopp's management and a strong first XI, not the strength of their squad. Again, look at the 25-point gap between them and Bayern in the league. It's telling.
I think the above is the most accurate when discussing the Power Rankings, in terms of squads.
i dont understand, you made a list based on summer signings and transfer of managers from one club to another? are you making a europe power ranking list based on a season that is not played yet?
if not i disagree with your list except for bayern munich.
1) you included real madrid and borrusia Dortmund where they haven't won anything this season.
2) you included chelsea when out of 8 competitions they won only won which is EUROPA LEAGUE.
3) you included psg when after spending multi-millions on big signings they won one easy league.
I think of everyone here, Lodatz is closest. The only thing is I'd put Juve/Dortmund as #5 instead of City.
@Enjoyneer
Haha. That's funny because,
1) Real and Dortmund made it further into the CL than YOUR team did
2) Chelsea have gotten back Mourinho, and have made some very intelligent signings recently
3) PSG is my own opinion. I think they are a very good team, and they proved that by only losing to Barcelona on away goals. And yes, they did win a league. Doesn't matter if it's easy or not, they still won it.
@Dynastian98
Ohh yes. I forgot the super cup match.
Then we beat you 3 times. Copa del Rey :) 1-2,1-3,3-2..
@Dynastian98, Barcelona have been trying to sign a quality half-back and when they do, they will definitely be above Madrid. I mean they won the league by a significant margin over Madrid, didn't they? If Barca play tiki-taka of the Guardiola era, they do not need over reliance on their defense. They can just keep possession and play a high line and "choke out" the opposition. I think you are being a bit naive in believing that Barcelona is weaker than Juve and PSG. Sure they did get demolished by Bayern, but don't forget they were playing Marc Bartra at defense.
Here is something I decided I shall do myself (after reading a few articles here and there). I'll do a power ranking of the top 5-10 clubs in Europe. Naturally, it is only MY opinion, so if your opinion differs, feel free to comment where and why you disagree. With all due respect, have fun guys. :)
1. Bayern Munchen
Who else would it be? The reigning German and European champions have strengthened their squad with additions like Thiago Alcantara, Mario Gotze, and young Jan Kirchhoff, which essentially strengthens their defense, and already stacked midfield. Boasting stars like Ribery, Robben, Schweinsteiger, Neuer, Lahm, and many more players in their prime, and many young and promising players as well (Thiago, Kroos, Shaqiri, Kirchhoff, Gotze, Alaba, etc.), Bayern have the deadliest squad in the world. Expect big things from them next season as they'll be hungry for more.
2. Real Madrid
With new young signings Isco, Illara, Carvajal, and Casemiro, Real look keen on replacing that long-lost Spanish roster they were so proud of boasting. Perhaps not a "Galactico" project, but more a "Quinta del Buitre" kind of project. Already boasting world-class names like Ronaldo, Casillas, Ramos, and Ozil, Real seem eager to forget those locker room problems they had with Mourinho present, by bringing in a more introvert manager in Ancelotti, and assigning Zinedine Zidane as his assistant manager. Real will be eager to improve on last years results, as they fell short of the title to Barcelona, the Copa del Rey to Atletico, and missed out on the CL final on a shoestring to Dortmund (4-3).
3. Borussia Dortmund
Losing Mario Gotze may be a huge blow, but watch out, Jurgen Klopp is much more clever than he seems. By signing Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan, Dortmund have essentially signed two players who can play in all four positions up in attack. Mkhitaryan can cover for RW and AM, and Aubameyang for ST and LW. Not to mention that they already have Kuba and Grosskreutz able to cover in wing, and an extremely versatile Marco Reus. They also brought in Sokratis as a replacement for Felipe Santana, which is an extremely intelligent buy from Klopp. Gundogan, Lewndowski, and Hummels and co. may look as outsiders to the world after losing out Gotze, but one thing that Dortmund boast that Pep may have trouble handling in Bayern is that Dortmund are a TEAM.
4. Chelsea
Chelsea FC have confirmed the return of the "Happy One", and that in and of itself is one of the signings of the season. Jose Mourinho has inherited, what may possibly be, a better squad than he himself had built together the last time he was here. With the big boys in Lampard, Cole, Cech, Terry, and Essien, Mou has plenty of experience in his roster. Talents like Mata, Hazard, Oscar, De Bruyne, Schurrle, Lukaku, and Fernando Torres make Chelsea's firepower all that more terrifying. It may have took them a Herculean effort to win the Champions League in 2012, but expect them to go past teams with ease now that Mourinho is back.
5. Paris Saint-Germain
PSG have confirmed the signing of one of the best strikers in the world in Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan monster will undoubtedly add more firepower to their already stacked squad. Barely losing out to Barcelona in the Champions League last season (away goals), PSG look to be eager to build themselves not just a good squad, but a good TEAM. Losing Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva may be a huge setback, but those two haven't left the French capital yet, and that's what counts. The reigning French champions will be a deadly force in Europe next season.
