So, there it is, Ajax vs United. The young ones vs the pragmatic one. Its hard to say for sure who will win this final and I think its fair to say both team could be seen as favorite to certain extend or as underdog. For United, this victory mean a return to the CL and at last, something for their fan to look foward to. For Ajax, it mean they will directly be in the group stage in next season CL and won't have to risk being eliminated in the play-off like they did last year against Rostov. So, wich one do you think will win it all?

The early goals were a big thing, and Ajax does not have the killer instinct in the attacking third, YET! They are so young and if they stay together, they will be back up with the big boys soon enough.

I agree with SunFlash, least remarkable treble we could have won, but JM is there to win trophies. Three trophies on a season like that, not too shabby.

Now, was it enough to keep the interest of our main transfer targets? Will the team open up the pockets again to secure big names? Fun times are coming. :)

@Marcus2011 When you are used to more, you tend to get accustomed to higher standards, especially as fans. As a player, I would take any trophy that came my way, but still as a player, I would certainly rank one title over another in the pecking order. As a fan, our team MUST win everything because we are the best ever in the universe. haha

I can't speak for SunFlash, but for me, I have higher expectations for Man Utd. I have been spoiled by all the top Footy with Fergie and those expectations have not tapered yet. In fact, having JM sort of allowed those expectations to remain.

You have negative approach to this . Long days of Sir Alex has gone away . Try to face reality that United needs to find themsellves again in very competitive league where player like Shaqri can play for Stoke City or Sigurdson for Swansea . Every one has financial muscle now and United is going through transition in worst times . So yeah i think it was a good year . Also considering that Europa Cup is the final cup that United hasn't won till now . Then like @emo mentioned prospect of facing Champions League winner in Super Cup and possibility of beating them will be icing on the cake . Mourinho hardly looses final and if I am not mistaken he only lost one on penalties against Bayern .
