Yeah watched the game. Almost fell asleep. Same old England. Not sure what the English FA is hoping for with Big Sam in charge, don't get me wrong, he's a good manager, but the type that will bring glory days back to England.
If England want to be on top again, I think they will have to hire a foreign top class manager, someone like Mourinho; Guardiola; Ancelotti; Enrique; Simeone otherwise I don't see anything changing for England if they keep hiring their English managers....
Anyone here saw the last England's game?
England 1 - 0 Slovakia by 94+ min goal of Lallana. England did dominate the game though (as expected). But that wasn't what we can take out of this game. Mind that Skrtel saw his stupid red card early in the 2nd half, thug move.
England's first game under Big Sam didn't impress nobody. They play almost exactly like in the European cup, pretty dreadful in my opinion, rush and a lot of wrong headless passes.
Sterling was very decent, I think Pep's magic works on him for now. Kane was dreadful and rather disappointing, may be my expectation was too high.
Dier was good beside Rooney. Btw, Rooney looked lost, his deep role was as confusing as the time under Luis Van Gaal, he's English icon but has been so poor for so long, may be they should bench him for once. Or work out his position. I think this deserve another thread.
The defenders didn't have much to do but looked ok.
To sum up: I haven't seen any impact yet positive impact of Big Sam on England, I saw the same old team and this way they wouldn't go NO WHERE!!! Guarantee! What do you guys think?
