According to many sources (First source being radiocanada i believe) Didier Drogba informed the Montreal Impact's President earlier today he had decided to end his playing career to return to Chelsea FC. A true Chelsea legend coming home to start his coaching career under Hiddink. Much needed and most welcome!

Hope he'll be a Playing-coach.. He's been scoring quite a few goals in Montreal if I recall correctly.. Could be a useful sub for those important last minutes..

However, rumors has it that Chelsea is bringing back Bamford from Crystal Palace too, while Falcao is leaving. We'll see if Remy stays or leaves as well.. all though I certainly hope he stays.

It was.. but at the same time he was under contract with Montreal and they wanted him to finish the season with them. Now he seems to be joining Chelsea straight away...

Apparently it isn't confirmed. Just goes to show that you should never trust media in these regards. Easier to be fooled when you want something badly i guess. However, I still believe he'll part from Montreal early to join Chelsea. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens next..

@KTBFFHSWE I was kinda scared when I saw that title, but I'm happy to see it's not confirmed. I'm sorry for you guy at Chelsea, you propably need Drogba more than we do, he is a great individual and I hope he will go back to England to support Chelsea once his time with the Impact is over. Hang in there until then, lad.

Tough decision for Drogba to say the least.

@emobot yeah, sorry about that. I jumped to conclusions to early. Apparently, 'Chelsea declined to comment on a report by L’Equipe on Wednesday night which stated Drogba was set to quit playing with Major League Soccer’s Montreal Impact to return to London. But the former Ivory Coast striker took to Twitter to say that nothing has been decided.' and that's how it was all "confirmed" lol.

@KTBFFHSWE Nah, it's okay man, I can totally put myself in your place, if I was a Chelsea supporter right now, I would be so hyped if I heard that Drogba would be coming home. I would also share it with as many people as I could. We all heard those rumors like what he was going back and many article seemed to confirm it, so its normal. Anyway, I sincerely hope for Chelsea to have Drogba return once his time at the impact is over, I wish you the best, mate.

Throw him in the pitch and let him teach Diego Costa how it is done ;)

@Sunflash I'm happy to hear that, hope he will have a lot of impact with montreal next season. I also hope that doesn't stop him from returning to chelsea later on.

@Sunflash Oh dear, I hate it when star player get an attitude... :( Still, even if our time with Drogba end at the end of the season, I will alway remember how lucky we were to have him play in montreal. Too bad I never got to go and watch him live. Still think he shouldn't have done that but I can't completely get mad at him. :(

@Sunflash Not a big suprise but you cannot fully blame him, it was good to have him for the time we did have him. Hope he return to Chelsea and start a career as staff member, coach or manager.
