The club world cup had eluded us the 2 other times we had won the Champions league. it was the only title we had NEVER won before.

minute 88 we thought it was de ja vu. it was 3 times we had failed to take home this thing.. not only that, but our 6th title seemed to be fading away before our eyes.. Estudiantes was going to ruin a perfect fairytale ending.
and then.

Probably the most intense Club World cup game of the last 6 years. and we Finally did it.

we would go on to grab our second one in 2011.

but nothing matched up to this.

very special to us all.

on club level an obvious one would be returning to the champions league after that game at Man City, then the run the next season. no doubt,

second to that would be our League cup run of 2008.

but the biggest one of my life would be these 2 games.

Asian cup, 2011.
Saudi arabia at that time, was probably the most scary team you can think of, they were runners up of the previous Asian cup, constant world cup qualification challengers, and had a foreign coach, and talented players.
way above our level at the time. But Saudi Arabia's backs were against the wall after a shock opening defeat to Syria. so they were really on fire for the match..we had surprisingly drawn our first game with the eventual champions Japan 1-1 (they got an equalizer in the last kick of the game). We played Saudi arabia, a gritty, slow paced, ugly encounter, until out of the blue...

Bahaa Abdel Rahman scored a curling masterpiece in the last minute of the first half, that would later become the winner because the match ended 1-0. Saudi Arabia, being the threat they were at the time, had been beaten by a landlocked, small nation of 7 million, with there football league and national team being virtually unknown to the world until this very match,we had eliminated quite possibly the second best Asian team at the time. and that had put us joint top of the table with Japan, even though we werent through yet, given the circumstanses of what we had just achieved, i cryed my eyes out, i couldnt believe what just happened..the entire house was on its feet while i was on the ground crying tears of joy. we beat Syria in the 3rd game of the groups 2-1, and then lost the Quarter finals to Uzbekistan 2-1. but every single game of that tournament was not to be forgotten for me, ever.

The second one was our 2-1 win over Australia in world cup qualifying, given how huge the aussies are, it was almost as good as Saudi Arabia, it was an amazing recovery from a 6-0 drubbing at japan months earlier :P
and kept us in the running for WC 2014

Can't get any bigger than those 2 games for me.
