I'm just so sceptic about it being free from anything or anybody like it's presented. Someone has the data the servers somewhere.
Someone has the data the servers somewhere.
What data? all transactions on the basically available to anyone on the internet.
available to anyone on the internet.
If so, just another reason to be sceptical about it...it's like a weak system even if some people managed to make a profit on the stock market.
it's like a weak system
what's weak about it? no one can make a transaction without your private key and verification of the network...
what's weak about it?
It's not secure why would you trust something that can't be private and the only thing is the stock manipulation that caused some people to get rich but it's because it's so extreme it goes from millions to 0 very fast that's a sign of something not stable but I'm not expert I'm just saying...
It's not secure
but what is not secure? I don't understand what do you mean. Your wallet? You hold your private keys, no one knows it's your wallet.
The only reason why it went from 8k to 18k by the end of last year was because media started talking about, people are dumb and jump into it without knowing anything, buying at 18k was dumb as hell, getting loans to invest is dumb as well. Thinking it will only go up is not thinking rationally, it's just a dream. There will always be "crashes".
I just don't trust it and wouldn't like it as a real currency. What if you lose your "wallet" what about your privacy and protection...
The stock market is the only thing that some people took advantage of because it's such an unstable invention or whatever you want to call it...
So is this thing a bubble or?
Yes and no. Once it’s regulated probably banks might start issuing it. I remember the internet being like this.
Internet was saved by the porn. If it wasn't for Porn there wouldn't be internet. Same will be for crypto, if hookers and strippers will find a way to comfortably make transactions, it will be a thing. Otherwise, cash is still the king ;)
Crypto will definitely be part of the future, but we'll need something a lot better and refined than Bitcoin or the other current ones.
lot better and refined than Bitcoin
how and why?
@quikzyyy
If we're talking about the future of Bitcoin, not just short-term investing...
Right now most cryptocurrencies but especially Bitcoin are being used more so as a way to make money, rather than as an actual currency.
A lot of things such as regulation will have to be worked out for Bitcoin to be used on a large scale in the future, and even in the short term, there's nothing special about Bitcoin in comparison to Iota, Skycoin, Elastos etc.
They are intentionally pumping and dumping. That is what happens when market is heavily unregulated. I am not demanding centralization but regulations as every free market should be to control machinations and scam of honest investors from short sellers.

Only thing that will be better brand than Bitcoin is government issued coin. People will trust it more and will buy it more happily than bitcoin.
Haven't heard of anything crypto related for a long while. What's the word boys? Is it falling off?
we're at 9k with BTC :)
So it's still around the 9k mark after it dropped from 18k? Was there a peak/dip or was it stagnant? And finally, why did the buzz die?
past 2 years. peak was 11k, lowest was 3k, so its not that steady.
So anyone here investing or invested?
