Am I the only one who thinks that he'll build a sizeable lead on Raul before retiring/leaving.
Nope I also think that Ronaldo will surpass him and build big lead . Ronaldo will become Madrid's greatest player ever . Amazing that he has that status in Manchester United already .
That's remarkable... I am sure he will surpass Raul in no time. What a machine, hat off.
@Marcus: what do you mean he has already got that? He's one of the greatest yes, but NOT Manchester United's greatest ever, ever.

@tuan
Alex Ferguson gave him that crown . He named him as the greatest ever .
“Cristiano Ronaldo was the most gifted player I managed,” writes Ferguson in My Autobiography. “He surpassed all the other great ones I coached at United.”

When I'm his age I hope i'll be able to run, let alone be a goal scoring monster. Legend.
@Marcus
I think this quote is taken out of context. In the first quote, SAF says that Ronaldo is the most GIFTED footballer he has ever coached, and that he surpassed the rest of the players in terms of skill.
Ronaldo signed with Utd at the age of 18, and left the club at the age of 25. Had he stayed till today, he, without a doubt, would be considered the greatest player to ever wear the red kit. To be honest the title of "Greatest ever" is for players such as Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, George Best, etc...
This is only an opinion, guys. @ManU fans do you agree?
300 goals in 6 seasons, thats stunning, and its not over yet.
For Madrid, if the 5 Europeen cups won by Di Stephano are counted as CL's, he would be deservedly second best in Madrid History,other way he is the best Madrid player of modern Football and even all time.
For United i think King Cantona was more important to United, and achieved many things, Scholes, Best and Giggs may be more legitimate for this statue...

Silverwares and achievements are more important than goals imo.

Nothing is out of context . That is his exact words in his autobiography .
"The only ones who could be placed near him would be a couple of the home-produced players, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs, because they contributed so prodigiously to Manchester United for two decades.” Sir Alex
Maybe not for United fans or club overall , but I think Greatest EPL and United manager of all time should know what he is talking about ?
There is a difference between importance for a club, and best player to have ever played in, even for 1 month.
He is arguably the best to have ever player in United, not the most important.
I think that, historically, Ronaldo can be considered one of United's greatest ever players (top 10). In terms of talent and gift, he is probably the greatest ever to play for United (along with players like Scholes, Cantona, Best, Charlton, Edwards, Schmeichel, etc.).
For Madrid, he is undoubtedly Top 2 greatest ever. I consider Di Stefano to be the only player better than him that has played for Madrid. He has surpassed Raul, Casillas, Zidane, and Puskas at Madrid.
Well now that you have added that quote, I obviously can't say that it is taken out of context. I still do believe that Ronaldo isn't the greatest Utd player. I'm not pretending to know better than SAF, hell to the no, but I mean c'mon man Eric Cantona also played under him..
@Dynastian98 TBH, I don't think he has surpassed Raul or Casillas, in terms of talent, then obviously, but these two have captained Madrid for years, and won everything possible with Real Madrid multiple times, so it's a tough one.
Top 6 players.
Di Stefano, Raul, Ronaldo, Casillas, Zidane, Puskas
IMO
@RM17
While that is true, what Ronaldo has done in the last 6 years on the football pitch (trophies aside) even Raul and Zidane cannot match.
Agreed.
Trophies aside as you say :) because Zidane Volley vs Leverkusen is worth 100 goals imo.
Of the 5 teams he has scored against most, 4 of them are Bilbao, Atletico, Sevilla, and Barcelona. And they say he doesn't show up in big games smh.
208 goals with right foot
50 goals with left foot
41 goals with head
1 goal with arm (lol)
Number of goals Ronaldo scored against those teams .
... in less than 6 seasons. 300 goals in 288 games makes him the fastest ever player to reach 300 goals in La Liga. He is currently Madrid's 3rd highest goalscorer, with only Di Stefano and Raul ahead of him. He needs only 24 more goals to beat Raul's record of 323 as Madrid's highest ever goalscorer.
I don't know what to say other than the fact that it's an honor to see him play. I can tell my kids and grandkids that I watched Cristiano Ronaldo come to Madrid, score his first goal, win buckets of trophies, score his last goal, and leave/retire from Madrid as their highest ever goalscorer. Monstrous record.
