Really disappointed in CR7's mother here. The child probably just sees his father as his father. It's expected that he likes Messi, a player who he doesn't live with and isn't related to. The boy should be free to like whomever he wants. The child of a footballer should not be forced to have his own father as his favorite football player. Immature from CR7's mother.

Well... it might come up a rude or disrespectful from the kid to ask about Messi's awards while his father is receiving an award himself. But then again.. he is just a kid.

Weird how he is such a Messi fan..

The entire family must be very sensible to comparisons with Messi, non of them would like if any other person went on to ask about Messi when Ronaldo is receiving the award. I kind of understand the mother's reaction, it must be frustration that everyone compares them nowadays and having someone in the family doing so might be even worse.

The kid can have as his favorite footballer whoever he wants but there is a time and place for asking about Messi.
