I feel a bit better now.
that was... intense.
Also, Pepe's at fault at both goals, he should have never thrown himself in the second, and in the first he lost it to Griezmann. Ramos is at fault as well, he lost it in the second goal, and left Torres alone in the first... I also think Keylor could have stopped Torres' second goal... The defense was just pathetic, making mistakes left right and center.
Keylor could have saved one of the 2 goals from Torres. And did anyone see how Benzema didnt do anything? Id rather have Higuaín and Callejón back instead of Benzema and Bale.
I have always said Higuain was better than Benzema... He has one of the best shot to goal ratio in Europe... If he was actually given confidence, he would be a deady striker, like he is at Napoli... I like Bale, but Benzema has never convinced me, I'd happily sell Benzema and get Aguero, and name the front trio CAB. lol :P
How about Ronaldo ? Crazy how every single Madrid player is blamed while the supposed best player in the world scoring hattricks against Cordoba and Elche and really cant help in big games.
Why waiting for Benz to make the difference in big games, isnt it the job of big players and leaders ? The one who was really a threat for Atleti just left this summer to Man United, despite a weakened Atleti the result isnt shocking Madrid has 0 win in the last 5 games against Atleti, 3 defeats and 2 home draws.
Congrats Atletico, next round they face Barça...
Because of all Ronaldo has given us, he's our best player, he's the Ballon D Or, he didn't play well, but at least he scored... Thats the difference, Ronaldo gave us a bit of hope, even if it was very tiny... But where was Benzema? And Ronaldo can help in big games... vs Bayern, vs Dortmund, vs Barca (not the last one, talking in general) vs Atleti (has scored 15 goals vs Atleti) the super cup. Ronaldo has given us cups, and has been one of our most consistent players, no need to give him shit if he doesn't perform for 1 or 2 games, but there's other's who constantly perform bad...
Tiki, as always, desperately hopes to show the world how much of a useless and sh*t player Ronaldo is. Do you seriously expect Ronaldo to run the best defense in the world ragged? That's absurd. His goal was enough, it's exactly what we needed. Fanboys never change.
Both goals were defensive errors. Combined with Ramos' stupid penalty incident in the first leg, we lost complete control over this tie. James isn't quite di Maria yet. Di Maria's direct runs provided us with an advantage against Atletico, but we find ourselves in a difficult situation without him.

His goal was enough, you clearly resumed the situation.
For the fanboy thing, please go gossip about his private life, or shout after his teammates because they do not assist to him, the reaction of a fan boy is we won the game but pissed Ronaldo didnt score, and we lost but Ronaldo scored, thats the definition of a fanboy...
He means Ronaldo helped Madrid, he scored when we needed a goal, obviously it wasn't enough, but at least he did something, not like he was the flop of the match other than Isco, no one played very well, our whole defense was shit, Ramos scored, but was awful in defense. You can't expect Cristiano to score 5 goals past a 10 man defense, but at least he crated plays and scored a goal, Karim was lost the whole game. Navas should have saved Torres' second goal, it was a pee roller to say the least. I've never seen you criticize Messi, not even when he ran less than 6-7 miles vs Atleti in the UCL.
Simeone had the better tactics. He always does incredibly well in 2 legged games because he knows what to do against every team home and away. Penalty or not, Atleti would have won regardless. No need to rant about it. Your team lost, get over it. If anything it gives a better chance for Real to prepare even better in La liga and CL. Rant once the season is over.
As for Benzema, i agree completely. Hes an average striker who only bags around 15 goals a season. Real need a better striker and Benz needs to be a second choice (or leave).
Lol, I didn't watch the game, could someone tall me up
@Raimondo
"As for Benzema, i agree completely. Hes an average striker who only bags around 15 goals a season."
In the last 4 seasons Benzema has averaged 25.5 goals per season, the exact same as Sergio Aguero over the same period of time (who, admittedly, has played slightly less matches than Karim). Nevertheless, Karim's uniqueness is something everyone was praising a few months ago, but now everyone seems to turn against him after just a couple of games.

Benzema might not be the greatest striker in the world but he is very underrated in terms of the role he has in the team, he is a key player for Madrid's offensive play.
Back on topic... Madrid can not expect to turn over a fixture against a great team with such an unbalanced formation, having Kroos as the deepest midfielder has it's consequences. Madrid had to score two goals, and they did but with a very vulnerable defense they just didnt deserve to go through. Atletico had very few shots but it was enough to seal the fixture.
@Dynastian98, in my defense, I've never rated him highly, ever since he joined in 2009, he's a great player, but IMO he is too inconsistent for RM, some might disagree, and I agree he plays a key role in some aspects, and would be perfect if he was actually CONSISTENT, thats the problem, he disappears in so many games, and its EVERY season. Every season Madrid deal with the same thing.
@rayrex
Very exciting match . Basically Madrid bossed Atletico with like 60% - 80% possession on average entire match , made like 40 shots with 8 of them on target which resulted in two goals , but Atletico made like 10 shots two of them on target and both resulted in a goal ... ooh yeah the scorer was surprisingly for everyone but not to me , Fernando Torres . Bloody good efficiency from Atletico , and Madrid clearly missing Modric .
all started pretty well though , with celebration and party mood
but ended with this
Good report ?
@rayrex
Nothing special . Dynast, i was referring to league average not including CL and Copa del Rey. Even you can admit that Benz has a blow average goalscoring record as a striker for a team like Real Madrid.
@Rai
That's because the goals come from Ronaldo and Bale instead. Benz's job isn't to score 35+ goals like Aguero or Zlatan, but to create them instead. It's his assist and key-passes tallies which are most important. His link-up play with Ronaldo and Bale in the final third is what keeps this Madrid forward line together. Only a handful of players can replace him, most notably Zlatan (who is too old now). Suarez would've been a good choice too, but he is at Barca right now. There are so few strikers who are equally good at play-making in the world, and that's what makes Benzema a rarity.
Benz should go to PL, i really want this for him, he deserves more recognition and better fans...
Better fans? If a player doesn't perform up to standards, then the crowd and fans, have all the right to criticize him...
Before giving my prediction, i want to say that Atletico is one of the hardes teams to accomplish a come back against, they are more confortable while leading the score.
I noticed an apparent weakness, their LB position. After Fellipe Luis departure, they signed 2 good players Siquiera and Gamez as a second choice, Barça insisted on the left wing where the 3 goals came from, also many chances missed started from there.
Atletico has a clear unbalance in defense, Miranda injured, Gimenez is doing a good job and the pair Godin/Gimenez works well, Juanfran for moe is the best RB in the world but Gamez looked very poor defensively on 1 vs 1.
If Carvajal is on a great day and Madrid midlefied insists on the Left flank, they may stand a chance if Atleti doesnt score, 1 goal from Atleti and the game is over because 4-1 seems unlikely despite the apparent weakness...
Chances of qualification : 25% for Madrid, 75% for Atletico.
My prediction : 2-1 or 3-1 and Atletico goes through...
What is your predictions, and of course if you have anything to say related to this game, feel free to share it.
