Club or country ?

I wanted to know how the FR members felt about this question ? Do you like your national team or your club more ? For me it's definitely club. Watching the world cup was fun, and france played some good football, but Arsenal comes first. And that's why the international break is so boring in my opinion. And I'm not even talking about all the injuries players get during friendlies and other qualifiers. Anyways, what comes first for you ?

Country then Club. Also, why do you have a Germany avatar when you support France?

Club more than country because I have no personal ties to Germany.

Really hard question... But I think it's your home country above any other team isnt it?

The international break is pointless for the big stars, so I agree with Messi.

Club is more important than friendlies, but the Euro, WC and other major competitions are all good.

But a week without club football is tough.

Chelsea FC come first by any means, I'm not a nationalist myself and The World Cup means nothing to me.

I think it's basically even for me. I'd put the World Cup title above Bayern's Champions league win (emotionally) and I also root for all German clubs in European competitions. on the other hand I really love Bayern, I was born and raised in Bavaria. can't decide really

I have ties to several countries but I choose to support England. However, nothing cheers more when Chelsea wins . I live day by day keeping up with club news and only when major international tournament starts , I care about national teams.

Country. The reason I started watching football.

Club comes first, but the atmosphere here in Belgium for the important competitions is by far more fun, giant screens in the city for the last WC, or watching the game with 10 friends at home on the TV was just priceless.

@Mainz

Good point. I started watching Football because of country rather than club. Just like Marcus, nothing cheers me more in football than Chelsea winning.

Definitely club. But no doubt I love World Cup and at times I may watch WC/Euro qualifiers & friendlies. Most memorable international friendly is btw Zlatan's show vs England. I just decided to watch it because it was 1st game ever in Sweden's 'Friends Arena' and was excited to see two great teams. I obviously won't regret it lol.

@netsten that is really great point and nice to hear. Definitely priceless, not sure if there is better way to watch football.

Country. It goes without saying that all Egyptian football fans pick their county over their club. But we can be very rude and are big sore losers (not all of us). See the shoe incident in video #1 if you want to see what I mean.

Our greatest fans though can only be found in Egypt's most prestigious football club: Al Ahly.
(skip to 6:10 to see what happens when we scored, but you'll miss out on the video's epic intro)
