^ Damn. Tight angle there. I guess we would've just made fun of Vidal if you didn't post that pic. :/

Classic Ronaldo dive simple as that. Chiellini did the usual of using the arm to fight for possession. When Ronaldo saw he wouldn't reach the ball, he went down at the littlest of contact imaginable.

that is not a red, you can tell he dived.. he looked at the linesman while getting hit on the chin... but shit happens and that was the only option Chiellini had so it didn't go to his favor, and the ref was not that good in this game

When I say that Ronaldo dives people tell me I hate Ronaldo when that's not true at all. I like him and think he's great but when something is obvious, then it's obvious.

Ronaldo still dives if you guys thought he didn't, watch league games. Ever since the early days at United the diving has been pretty consistent.

Blatant foul, NOT A RED BY ANY MEANS. Perhaps a yellow if he was the last man. The ref was terrible throughout the match in my opinion.

@Dynast: I'll post when and where I feel like it, thanks.

@tdot: I don't think many folks are under too many illusions. ;)

Not sure that the little nick he received could have done enough to produce this change in body motion. ;)

Especially when he's then pointing to the penalty spot.... ;)

@TheTroll "but he wasn't acting either." did u even seen that? he ran 2 more meters, kicked the grass then, dived. He probably though someone was behind him, but nobody was.
"when he was starting to do the motion to cross/shoot" both players where holding each other. it's just Vidal that he missed the ball and kicked the grass instead and then he wanted penalty.

It's not a red card for Chiellini but Ronaldo deserves a yellow for acting.

No of course not. The referee was bad in this game. Many wrong decisions, and it effected Juve more. Also Real Madrid players are soooo bitchyyy, oh my god they complain against every thing, every foul they go crying like babies. Specially Marcelo.

It wasnt a red. Chiellini put his hand on his face. I heard people said chiellini poked his eye. but from the angles i saw it was an un-deserved red.

Do you even see the little clip on Vidals right foot before he hit the grass? I mean, i see Ronaldo getting hit by an invisible sledge hammer but Vidal didnt dive either. Horrible refereeing

@quikzyyy "Still me" what???? It wasn't a dive. It was a trip, and he fell, and he wasn't
appealing for that trip and fall, he was appealing for the foot contact
that happened a breath prior to that trip and fall, which can clearly be
seen in the video. Now, if it's a penalty or not, is the ref's decision.

Also
when he runs with the ball at that speed, kicks the turf with that much
force as a result of losing balance, do you really expect him to still
be standing or land on his feet? Of course not! You know he's obviously
going to fall on his ass! I've seen it happen to other people and it's
happened to me before as well. Compared to THIS, Ronaldo did in fact dive to get Chiellini sent off.

Soooo, a nick that literally did not change his momentum, direction, body actions or even apparently leave a mark... somehow puts him so off balance that he just has to miss the ball right in front of him and leap 4 feet in the air.

LOL okay.

If TheTroll wants to pretend that the laws of physics don't exist, let him. The people with eyes know it was a dive.
