Chelsea are an outstanding team and arguably with the best defense in the world when in form. However this year isn't last year, since last year you guys had an in form Costa, Fabregas and Super saiyan Hazard. This season, meh.

Moreover with the addition of Pedro, I thought you guys were going to be a formidable team that may dominate the EPL like City in 2012-2013 where you are winning 3-0, 4-0, 5-0. I felt in the first match, it was good, than suddenly, the clicking disappeared. After watching yesterdays match, I learned a few things. Costa was amazing and needs to continue dribbling more, Hazard needs someone to slap him to wake up and that he needs his **** back together, his penalty shot described everything. RLC NEEDS TO PLAY MORE!!!! His dribbling is amazing and is what Chelsea need, someone to open up defenses, his passing is too safe but of course since i think its his first UCL match. He made one good key pass, and needs to be more confident and adventures, playing him is a very good option.

I think for me, the main reason of Chelsea's downfall, ok maybe not the main, but one. Is the departure of Felipe Luis. Honestly, he was one connecting with Hazard-Oscar-Willian. His crosses are by far better than the rest of Chelsea's defense and his passing is pretty good. However I may be wrong since he only played like 10-15 games tho.

Nonetheless If Chelsea get Costa-Hazard-Willian/Pedro to work together alongside with RLC, I wont be surprise if they go back to the top 4.

@rayrex7 +1 you've been spot on. Luis was very good helping in defending and attacking, yet the media called him a "flop" SMH... We need to give more chances to our Youth players I rate many of them so high and surely in 3 years they will be super stars. I hope we won't make another De Bruyne, Matic & Robben mistake ever again..

@rayrex well written.

But I really don't think Luis departure is the main reason to Chelsea's lack of form as he really didn't play that much last year. Azpi and Brani was then better choices for the team, especially Brani who was absolutely superb last year. This year Azpi will probably play a lot more as RB and Baba as LB, and they just need some time to adapt. Azpi is one of the few that has been playing good in Chelsea the past few games.. and people usually underestimate him..

With that said, I surely would have kept Luis as he is an excellent LB with a good eye for the offensive game which Chelsea certainly would need.

Rest assured that Chelsea will bounce back though. I still think we'll beat Arsenal the upcoming game, even with Willians injury and from there we will have to work our way back up to the top.

Lastly, YES! Hazard has to get back in form. I've never seen him play as bad as last game. Last season I didn't watch him have one single bad game because he was so consistent all the year through.

I might be bias but I don't Robben was that much of a deal . Injury prone . Don't get me wrong The guy is fantastic player for regular matches but he never was a big match player .

Remember his 2010 final against Inter ? His misses for Holland in 2010 ? His misses for Bayern in 2012 , also 2013 he barely, with little luck of dortmund defenders falling asleep , scored after countless attempts .

I think our problem was purely mental fatigue and bad pre season . We should have started preperations early ! Bad deals in transfer market were also problems , but we can't ignore that this is the same team, same players that dominated league last year . Therefore , this past victory hopefully will help them recover .

But he did score the winning goal in the CL final. He also played tremendously well in the 3rd place match against Brazil. Helped thrash Barcelona 7-0 with some excellent performances. Scored a beauty in Old Trafford to take Bayern to the next stage in the CL. "he was never a big match player". He is just like most other quality players: shows up to some big matches, disappears from some as well.

I guess what i meant to say that he is underachiever . That is why I never felt like we lost out hugely on Robben . He could have been so much more than he is right now . I have a love and hate relationship towards him . I love him for his pace , dribbling , determination to score, work ethic but I hate him for being selfish player , his overall attitude on the pitch , diver , also when he can't apply himself when it matters for the team the most , He actually becomes the problem .

Like his attitude during penalties against Liverpool in 07 . Absolutely hated his attitude , like he was like i am done i am out at the end anyway .

Also , we did not force him out of the club , it was him who forced the deal to Madrid . Madrid who actually slowed his development until he moved to Bayern .

He did score after what like what 10 attempts ... I was surprised he finally put one in because everytime i saw him in scoring zone with a ball , i did not even worry one bit for Dortmund .

Always founded frustrating . It is like he helps you and in most crucial time he becomes achilles heel of the team . Maybe i am too harsh to judge him but I al
