Yeah same feeling, I usually support El cholo and his team in CL and out of the 7 clubs, Atletico was ranked 2nd of the teams I would have loved Barca to avoid, GL m8.

Hmm seems pretty easy to predict

Wolfsburg - Real Madrid
Bayern - Benfica
Barcelona - Atletico
PSG - ManCity

I agree with the guys above me.. it really annoys me when two teams from the same country are drawn against each other.

i was just saying to my uncles that the team i hoped to avoid was atletico and now... ;-<

...won't be easy to score past them. if they play defensive and then counter attack then it's fairly over for us. The defenders are terrible with defending counterattacks because they are always caught on the attacking half.

I just hope we don't go to a penalty shoot-out.... haha...

The most interesting draw for me here is PSG/City. Both these teams always seem to lose in this round (or the one prior) so it will be fascinating to see which one takes the next step.

2 teams looks like they are already in the semis. Barca most probably too, but everyone knows Atletico.
I look forward to PSG vs City may be a hell of a match.

@Sunflash I agree with you, gonna be very interesting to see who pull true.

I would also like to point out that Real Madrid seem awfully lucky with their draw up till now. Wolfburg really weren't lucky on this one. Also, what do you guys think of the Bayern vs Benfica game? I know that Bayern are like nearly 100% sure to win but could Benfica suprise them in some way?

Yeah, Real Madrid are as always lucky with the draws.

@emo i think not.. although they're in great form right now.. 17 wins in the last 18..which is amazing.. still, I don't believe they have a real chance to pull this one off.. The odds right now in the first leg is 1.20-15 in favor to Bayern.. I'll give them 10% chance to pull through.. Bayern are just too strong of a team for them..

edit: Adding to that, I believe Wolfsburg is a much tougher opponent for Real Madrid than Benfica is for Bayern..

@KTB I agree, but it bring me another question, is Wolfburg gonna be a tougher opponent for Madrid than Roma was? And even if they are, what are their chance of beating real madrid?

Our chance against Bayern will be to play smart and get a result in Germany in the first match. Last season in the quarters Bayern faced Porto but played at home last, a very different situation. If we manage to get that good result in Germany I'm absolutely confident we can win and pull through at home.

People often underrate the size of a club like Benfica. We are one of Europe's biggest names historically, and that counts especially when this far in the competition. The key for us will be smartness and efficiency.

@VAMOS I actually agree with you, if Benfica manage to get good results in the away game, they definitely have a chance. The biggest problem will most likely be to get that result in the first game. I wish you luck, lad.

Really hoping city can beat psg. My mind has gone crazy with all these ligue 1 vs premier league talks. Come on city!!!

@ArsenalGunners What Ligue 1 vs PL talks? Ligue 1 is not better than the PL but I do have to say that PSG is above any Premier team at the moment. If City wants to go through, they'll need to be at their best, especially the centerbacks. Kompany was a heavy loss and Mangala seems unreliable and Demichelis... well, players like Di María and Lucas would leave him in the dust much too easily, he's not young anymore and he never was that fast to begin with.

Madrid lucky with draws? No... I think it's rigged. Madrid, Barca, and Bayern seem to never face each other in this round. Madrid always seem to get the most convenient team to beat because Madrid in the semi-finals will just rake in more money.

Anyways, I'm actually thinking City might beat PSG. Agree though that Bayern, Barca, and Madrid are guaranteed to be in the semi-finals.

@blaugranadude, yes psg are playing well but they haven't been tested much. They beat a struggling Chelsea team and if they beat city the people will slate EPL again
