Are we witnessing a shift in power in Europe?

After Bayern thrashed Barca 4-0, I'm actually quite convinced that Bayern have very convincingly become the best team in Europe. Barca were all over the place, and their defense (as I have emphasized THOUSANDS of times) is absolute crap. I don't find Puyol's absence to be a righteous excuse for Barca. A team of their caliber and money ought to have the depth to cover such an important player like Puyol in their squad, rather than spend hundreds of millions on strikers and wingers. But, one thing to consolidate Barcelona is that if there's any team in Europe that can beat Bayern 4-0, its THEM. And that's one SCARY thought, ladies and gentlemen.

Our league is really underrated, rarely people from outside the country talk about it.Mostly it's all about the English and Spanish leagues. This year is gonna be a German final hopefully.

@Sven: I can appreciate why you feel that way, but you have to appreciate in return that, Bayern aside, there has not been another German team in a CL final since 2002, and not a German winner, Bayern included, since 2001. It's been, basically a 3-way between England, Italy and Barcelona.

That's a long time to be missing. Now, of course, thanks to Bayern's exceptional efforts the last few years, the camera is turning back to them, and the German league again.

However, with the gap between Bayern and the rest of the league so wide, and with their closest rival now selling their best players to Bayern, there's a big question mark over whether watching the rest of the German league is going to be worth it. :/

No-on bothers watching a one-horse race. :/

Funny you make the post when Dortmund pull out the performance of the year. It is almost criminal for a team that plays so well to be so behind Bayern.

Then why ARE they so far behind?

Btw, I agree that they just put in the performance of a lifetime. But if they lose Goetze, and Lewandowski, that's a huge loss, and you know it.

Because they have very little squad depth. Over the last decade, they were building towards the league title(s) and then are now focusing on the CL. but yes, if they lose both, it would be sad.

On the other hand, Fifa's World XI looks like a big joke now.

These German clubs are amazing, but all of them combined? They do great, certainly but Germany is not really able to reach or win the final.

@wth, and that happend to be when teams (including united) didn't know how to play against that style of football 'yet'. Hence why i said "know teams have figured it out..." Sorry for being a bit rude on my previous comment...but yeah.

And LOL at thetroll
