Bleach
This 3 are my most favourite
I only watch Naruto now....
Just finished watching Death Note, although I wouldn't mind finishing the rest of the manga. I like pretty much anything by Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away one of my favorites). Not a huge fan of Naruto though.
Yu Yu Hakusho, Hunter X Hunter, GTO, anyone knows ?
japanese culture is so superior XD
When I first started getting into Naruto I read the manga at first but then I found it hard to get into to it as much. It's hard to understand the fights, read the emotions, and their is no music. The anime just makes it much more immersive. Maybe other manga's that involve less fights and movements from the characters could be more enjoyable, but Naruto's manga just seems boring when compared to the anime for me.
What about you guys?
EDIT: Oops. Just noticed ironfist already asked the question about whether its manga or anime for you guys. :P
I like manga better than anime actually. First of all, manga files take less space than video on your computer :)
I also think that most anime are made to suit television, and the pace is really slow compared to manga (you know how TV tries to get you to spend as much time as possible watching it). I also like reading manga better because it is a more peaceful experience. Just my point of vue.
And I also got into reading a lot of seinen recently, meaning more adult and complex plots and art. And they are f*cking awesome. If you're interested I have some really good suggestions.
This is from one of my favorite ones :
It looks amazing! What are some of your suggestions?
You can try Blame! (the pictures above are from blame!) and Biomega, they are from the same mangaka. They are amazing. If you feel adventurous and don't mind reading something you don't understand at first and don't mind getting lost (I mean really lost, sometimes it feels like the mangaka himself is getting lost) when reading a story you can start with Blame! if not you should start with biomega as a warm up. Blame! is the better one.
OR, you can read AKIRA. It\'s an all time manga classic from the 80' and it will blow your mind.
EDIT : If you need, I can give you links to read them.
@Vendetta : NARUTO
@Ven
Yea, I feel the same way for Naruto. The anime is miles ahead of their manga.
But in terms of manga, I find One Piece, Bleach, and Full Metal Alchemist to be the best I have ever read. DeathNote is a really good anime too.
For me, the naruto manga is overextending its plot. Too much exaggeration. Bleach is getting interesting though. And I also read Noblesse.
Does any other Naruto fan find Kisame to be a beat who deserves more recognition? I used to put Neji as my top favorite because I'm a fan of the Hyuga's abilities but now Kisame took that spot.
Let's just look at what this guy possesses (SPOILERS BELOW):
Nicknamed 'The Tailless Tailed Beast' for the massive amount of chakra he has. When Neji used his Byakugan on him, he thought it was the closest Naruto's to chakra.
Has probably the most powerful ninja sword. Samehada can both take chakra and give it to its owner. To simply put it, Kisame could barely gets tired. Against B, he ripped off 6 of the 8 tails' chakra in one swipe.
He can fuse with his freaking sword to become even more powerful by entering shark mode. And he can also summon sharks.
Used only 30% of his chakra to match B's chakra level.
A master of taijutsu, ninjutsu, water release, earth release, and isn't affected by weak or average genjutsu because of samehada.
Took down the 4-tails alone.
He is extremely strong and fast. Simply headbutting him as the 8-tails isn't enough.
Despite his looks, Kisame is a smart when it comes to battles and analyzes an opponent in a matter of seconds.
It took the 4th Raikage (considered the strongest Raikage ever plus the fastest ninja alive) and B to kill him. Yet still they failed because it was only a clone and they didn't realize! If the 4th Raikage had arrived two minutes later, it would have been too late to save B and Kisame would have won.
TL;DR: Kisame is my new favorite Naruto character.
^ It's scary because Kisame can take down just about any person alive during Naruto's time, except Itachi, Obito, and Pain. That's when you realize how scarily powerful Akatsuki really were. O.O
I was just wondering if anyone else was a fan of Japanese Manga/Anime here. If you are, post your fav mangas/anime shows.
If you don't know what Japanese manga is, it's just another way to say"comic book". Unlike American/British comics, Japanese manga does not target teenagers of children, but the Japanese people as a whole. They teach some very important lessons there and talk about some very serious topics, while keeping you deeply interested at the same time. Here is my favorite.
One Piece : About pirates. A boy wants to be the Pirate King because that's who he believes has the most freedom in all the world. Very serious and funny series, and shows that there are good and evil on both sides.
