I wanted to comment about this amazing match since I saw the story on The Telegraph. I couldnt believe it. Also, how come no one even talked about this match? Well, I woudnt have talked about it if it wasnt for the article I read about it.

so anyways...

here is the highlights video of the match:

UCL qualifying round, first leg ended 1-0 for Steaua.

I recommend you watch it before reading the rest of this thread for maximum enjoyment. :)
(also, I got exited writing this, turned out a little long, so you can as well watch the highlights and not read it).

This amazing game was played between Ludogorets form Bulgaria and Steaua Bucarest from Rumania. It was the second leg of the qualifying round for the UCL. The first leg ended in a win by 1-0 favouring Steaua. In this second leg things got a little tense and crazy.

The game had a very even 90 minuted, the cores remained 0-0 for the entire 90 minute period. But the referee gave some extra time to play. And BOOM! A late goal winner from Ludogorets to give them the game and tie the aggregate score. Enter, extra time.

Just like the entire regular time, the game was even but Steaua kept on attacking nonstop on the final moments of the game. In the 119 minute after a well organised play by Steaua, the striker was left one on one with the keeper. The keeper from Ludogorets had nothing to do and on an attempt to stop the striker a bad timed tackle just out side the box ended the game for him. Foul, red card, and very threatening freekick against Loudogorets in the final seconds of the game.

With no more subs left, Ludogorets manager decided to play field player Cosmin Moti as the keeper .
He had a couple of interventions in the rest of the extra time, but the score remained tied. So the one-of-a-kind moment in football was about to happen. Enter, penalty shootouts. And you should probably suspect how this story ended.

Moti went on to the shootouts as the improvised keeper. He not only managed to score his respective penalty but he stopped Steaua's 2nd penalty in a decisive moment right after Ludogorets had missed theirs. The penalty shootouts went on into the teams' 7th takers. Ludogorets scored theirs and then the magic happened...

Ludogorets went through to their first ever Champions League!! What a story..

This thrilling game has it all, last minute equalisers, red cards, football heroes, all in a key game for both teams.

NIceeee. Thanks for sharing mate.

Cosmin Moti was a hero, he played as he was a top class goalie, jumping and stuff.... Some say Ludogorets named aparts of the stadium after him :D. If I remember correctly, last year when they played against PSV, they were already impressive

Another similar thriling game was: Feyenoord 4 - 3 Zorya
What a game that was... Feyenoord led 3 - 0, lost their concentration and the game became 3 - 3.... Feyenoord could have been out... then they scored, the whole stadium went mad

Good to see a Bulgarian team in CL.
I never like penalties. I get so excited that more than normal. Yesterday I broke my hand after Karabükspor - St. Etienne Penalties. Karabükspor lost at the last shoot. 4-3

broke your hand? You meant... literally or figuratively? I once also got over excited and highfived too hard with my frd, and we both had a sore hand... it was like 4 or 5 days before it stopped hurting :D

Literally. I broke my little finger's back bone. It's in half plaster. When I get mad, it doesn't leave a good effect on me.

@emre hahaha !! I can definitely understand, although I never broke any of my bones this way, when I get mad about football (almost the only thing in the world that can get me mad like this) I tend to hit things.

I have a picture of me and a friend on "Minuto 92:48", when Ramos equalized in the CL Final. Me and the friend went real crazy and just hugged, another friend took a snap of the moment. Said friend nearly broke my glasses in the hug apparently :p
