Claudio Bravo to City soon, Pep is causing trouble to Barca since he left, took off Alcantara to Bayern, was willing to steal Busauets and now offering Bravo ridiculous wages and the chance to play all competitions while he can't play CL at Barca. This is sick specially from the one who pretend to be 200% Catalan and printed with Barca dna. Hope Ibra scores a hattrick vs City and Mou humiliates him.
Barca linked to Cilissen wtf ? He is not bad but that means that they can't retain Bravo ? Switching Barca for such a no trophy land, well he is old enough and it could be his last contract. But he got big bonuses in every title won just like the whole squad that's real compensation. If it's true then I don't blame him but Fuck Pep, went for Nolito, contacted Busquets and now stealing Barca main GK. From Celta Vigo to Barca won every single trophy and some twice in 2 seasons and you decide to leave, fuck money.

holy shit i cant believe we got £27 mil for benteke!!!!!

no doubt a great striker, he just doesnt fit our system and became surplus. i would argue he didnt really go down or up in value since we signed him. still young at 25 and has pl experience so good signing for palace!

http://www.cpfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/crystal-palace-have-signed-belgium-international-striker-christian-benteke-from-liverpool-for-an-undisclosed-fee-on-a-four-year-contract-3260041.aspx

spent roughly £68 million on 4 players and received £73 million for 9 players. not bad lfc transfer committee, not bad at all.

take this with a grain of salt of course because its a very shallow look at spending and net income.

@tiki both ter stegen and bravo said that if they arent the first-choice keeper this season they will leave.csince ter stegen is 9 years younger they chose ter stegen so bravo was on the look out to leave and city came with a good offer.

@lio

Sound logic.

@tiki

I'm not sure I would blame Pep for that. He obviously knows Barca's system and players really well, so he will naturally try to get them more than others. He's hardly the only manager to do so.

@liomessi To be sincere, I would have kept Bravo and sold Ter Stegen with a buy back clause, the lad didn't alway looked solid last season. But that doesn't mean he's not good or full of potential though.

@sun you dont understand what Pep means to Barca, he is playing it individual here, he is clearly weakning Barca to get success in his career. His choice Is understandable but he wont get a statue like Crujf. Barca does not even play in the same league, maybe im a bit exagerating but commitement to the team you belong to As a native, player, youth coach, Barca b coach And first team coach to finally create internal issues for the good of your career. Its not acceptable if you consider yourself as a club legend.
He Will probably want to coach Barca again And im pretty sure the doors would be open but contacting players who are crucial to Barca ( Busquets) is a betrayal act for me.

@tiki

Does he really owe enough of a debt to Barca to "betray" his current employers by not making the best team he can so to strengthen his old team he's not affiliated with anymore?

City are paying him to do a job and he's doing it. He did the same thing at Bayern, make the team he thought was the best he could make. If that comes at Barcelona's expense, it shouldn't matter, because he's not employed by them anymore.

Your argument is ridiculous imo, and in the financial world is actually illegal.

@emobot yeah so would i ter stegen is way too error prone and Bravo was always consistently solid.

@tiki he is now managing a team that want to compete for the champions league title you cant do that without somehow weakening your rivals and strengthening your own team busquets is a player man. city could really do with so it's understandable and he isnt at barcelona anymore city are not rivals like real madrid or atletico so he isn't really doing anything that you can actually call 'betraying'. If he was at real or even atletico it would be betraying.

Yeah but money is a religion specially for US citizens so I know my point looks ridiculous to you, does United pay you to support them ? Actually when you claim being part of the club as he is claiming, you just dont have to do that specially when you have 100.000 club you can sign from. Does your financial world have anything not linked with money or hierarchy Slavery agreement ? He works for City doesnt mean he should weaken Barca specially when he van weaken anyone else. I find your very US argument Sad as your financial world.
Can you imagine SAF weakning United ? If you can then there are values in Europe That you cant understand. A club lives Thanks to his fans just like a bank or a company ( not a US one tho you got no power on your masters because of individualism ideology). Pep doesnt owe Barca nothing but anyone who tries to weaken Barca legend or not do not love the club the way fans love the club. For a club owned by fans à thing that doesnt exist in your country, its inacceptable because Barca werent made to make money from fans but to représent a City rightfully. I
For me its like saying well Figo got a better salary at Madrid so financially its understandable for him to go to Madrid a healthier club that moment, Football is about feelings, If you think hurting feeling fans is normal by financial explanation then you dont understand the passion of Football. There should be ethic contracts between fans And players even coaches, if there is any then you are just a cow that we abuse for milk And no one gives a shit about How do you Feel.
When you dont have owners things are way different from a simple capitalist sport club.
What would be chelsea fans reaction If tomorrow MOu tries to steal their best players while the club has no intention to sell.

And why do people always feel that a player who leaves for a rival and goes against his old club is a traitor if a club trains a player then the player will pay it back by playing good for them or managing. Its equal. What happens after does NOT make him a traitor

@tiki barca have the best players why would he not want them at his club? And like i said he needs to weaken opponents anyway to somehow win the cl in a few years.

If mou tried to steal chelsea players then chelsea fans would as usual stick up for their club now matter how stupid their arguments are. But mourinho is not a loyal guy anyway he never stays anywhere for too long hes not committed to chelsea anyway and he wont stay long at united now with 3 years hell be gone.
Like my uncle said mourinho isnt scared to waste uniteds money coz he isnt planning to stay long while klopp is planning to hang around long and spends money very carefully

He is linked to them no matter what, when he came there he said he came home. Now if they face on the pitch he has no choice but to defeat them I dont think anyone would blame him for that but here we talk about different thing. Football is not only about entertainement, the reason why clubs who form players And have a strong identity dominate it, Direction And players do not only think about their personal wealth, the reason why the richest doesnt win each Time And clubs like Dortmund or Atletico are rulling.

Mou has many things I dislike but he is loyal, specially to Chelsea where he got a solid link with the fans. I cant see Simeone either weakning Atletico after his departure spending the Time he spent to make them rise sportively And financially. Pep has reached Crujff level he is considered as part of Barca History, now when you leave an heritage And you destroy it to make your New boss happy pr for your personal success then you should not be considered as you are atm. Crujff stayed at Barca, married a catalan named his children catalan names, died at Barca And kept helping till his death. SAF stopped working for United but kept trying to help, Scholes... Something who can not be explained by money... Difference between a club legend And an employee.

Sigh...put this in any context other than soccer and you would agree.

A lawyer that previously represented a client and is now representing the side opposing them is probably the best example. Regardless of how the lawyer feels about his old client, it is his responsibility to prepare the best case he can again against them. There's an example that has nothing to do with money and my "American" way of looking at things.

No one would expect the lawyer to still support his client in court, even if he does so out of court. Yet you still somehow expect Pep to support his old "client" when his job is literally to defeat them.

0
tiki_taka 8 years ago
Barcelona, France 367 9768

we arent talking about a lawyer here, we are talking about a club Legend. All a lawyer has in relationship with his client is the wages, while Barça formed Pep, gave him a chance in first squad, gave him time to coach the youth, learned everything from Crujff who is the ICON of Barça as a player, as a coach and even in term of style. Doesnt have any relationship with a greedy way of looking to the sport like US directions do...

Now, i give you the right example because when you talk about teams like Barça/Bayern/Ateltico/Madrid, the word FAMILY is dominant, they arent playing for free but to have a perfect chemistry on the pitch, the squad should be like a family...He doesnt owe Barça money, he owes them more than that, and Barça owes him too, what he did as a coach and player is Huge but he was lucky to be given the chance and the right circumstances. Now he comes to teams as an established coach and say i want that player and i do not want that player and everyone respect his choices, he started to coach Barça wich is not a championship team from his first coaching experience and they let him show the exit to Etoo and Ronaldinho and do whatever he wanted, he had any single experience that time so no your lawyer example may belong to how US owners treat their coaches not how some clubs in Europe treat their club legends.

You want examples here is some : Drogba king of Chelsea with no experience in coaching get called by Chelsea and giving him the key of a 600M worth squad, get success everyone is happy then leave them and try to weaken them each time he has the chance,i dont know if fans will share your financial view...

Your father gave you your first job and learned you everything, gave you responsability and the keys of the most important era of the company, you had problems with your employees and decided to leave for a rival company. Since you arent longer with your father you know all the family secrets and to please your new boss you take best employees of your father by offering them twice wages your father was offering.

If your father gets offended then its just ridiculous, money, new boss and personal career means much more than the one who learned you everything and gave you a chance. Even if its not crucial to pick their employees for you and good ones in the market are available you wait for any chance to bid for them. Pep tried it with 6 Barça players who ended into knocking the door of the direction for a renegotiation contract, because City offer RIDICULOUS wages to anyone since his first year.

Maybe we just could agree to disagree here, im a pure socialist not the progressist socialism one who is also liberal but the real socialism who disapeared from the planet because of the few families who own US and half of the world. I know how you see the world thats the main reason inequity will only increase because you get the point that there is no other model than this rather than communism and you better succeed to this model so you dont suffer what i call the individualism which is the dominant model because our aster put this into our brain since the birth and killed any social revolution ( yet no need to ruin the thread you can discuss anything you want on my wall so we could let this thread open )

@tiki

You know that I've got no love lost for City. I hate the fact that they let money run their entire organization. That being said, irrelevant of how much money they are paying Pep, he entered into a contract with them, under the reasonable assumption that he would win them England and Europe.

Regardless of political views, if Pep willingly went to City (which he did), and wants to attempt to recruit Barcelona players (which he has every right to, under his contract), it is up to the Barcelona players themselves what they want to do.

There is no moral code that forces Pep to ensure that Barcelona stays as strong as possible, in fact it isn't in his best interest if Barca does stay as strong as they are now. But Pep gave his word to City in that contract.

I think we're going to have to end up agreeing to disagree on this one.

So I heard Bravo is really gonna join Manchester City, really sad to hear that, not for Bravo, he join one of the best team in BPL and one of the best manager as well. I'm sad for Joe Hart, one of my favorite goalkeeper wich will either leave a club he had been with since a long or stop having as much playing time. I don't know why, but it make me sad... :( I wish him luck for his future.

Well, I am sad and disappointed. No left back, no holding CM, hendo still captain, and humilliated. Why, God, Why?
