Seems very fair. Platini probably feels hard-done. So does Casillas, and perhaps Ramos as well.
Is that the European all time XI or the EURO CUP all time XI?
It makes all the difference.
I think it is enough with Iniesta and Puyol representing Spain.. Casillas would have been nice, I honestly dont think Buffon has been the best keeper in the history of the tournament. And what is Ronaldo doing there?
@Tuanis, When Euro 2004 started Ronaldo wasnt even a starter, after the tournament (and when they played the final) he was a certain starter because of his performances for Portugal that tournament.
In Euro 2008 he was again great for Portugal, when they were unlucky to go out in quarters. Again, in Euro 2012 he was a pure beast and led Portugal to semi where they should have beat Spain (eg. Ronaldo hitting post etc).
Yeah, i dont get what Ronaldo is doing there. This is voted by fans, so he is up there. Otherwise, Performance wise... he is no where near that list, and Im talking about Euros only

Ronaldo has scored 6 goals in 13 games in the EUROs. He's been terrific. He's even finished top scorer once. He's also the all-time leading scorer in EURO matches (qualifiers included). I don't know what people are talking about when they say he isn't anywhere near that list. Leading a sh.it team like Portugal to the semi-finals is astounding for any player.
There was already a thread about this: http://footyroom.com/forum/discussions/pick-your-all-time-euro-xi-79461
But whatever. It's Marcus.
