Roberto Carlos Dismisses Claims About Living at Real Madrid's Training Ground

Former Brazilian national team footballer Roberto Carlos has denied recent media reports claiming he has been forced to reside at Real Madrid's training ground.

According to unverified sources, the 51-year-old Brazilian allegedly moved to the club’s facilities following his divorce from Mariana Luccón, his wife, in 2009. Reports suggested that Luccón currently resides in Carlos’s primary home in Spain. At the same time, his other residence is occupied by his relatives.

"In recent days, I have become aware of false and damaging stories circulating about me and my family. While I value privacy, I feel compelled to address the baseless rumors about my living situation. These fabricated stories are entirely false and seem designed to generate clicks.

I remain at a private residence, supported by members of my family. My legal team is reviewing these claims and will take appropriate action. I ask for privacy regarding personal matters and thank those who continue to support me during this time," Carlos wrote on the social media platform X.

Roberto Carlos played for Real Madrid from 1996 to 2007, winning four La Liga titles, three Copa del Rey trophies, and three Champions League titles. He also won the 2002 FIFA World Cup with the Brazilian national team. In the 2011/12 season, Carlos also played for Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala. He currently holds a position within Real Madrid's organizational structure.
