that's the stupidest thing I heard. Less passing skillful team? do you even watch the games ? So you're saying Ozil and Di Maria (who is at the top of the assists chart) don't set him up incredibly? How many times do you see ronaldo set a goal up through an incredible run or play that he scores or assists to someone else? Go watch Barcelona games and watch how messi has developed as a complete player the past couple of years. Not only does he get the job done and can scores by himself and completely change the pace/momentum of games with a single run, he also sets up the cleverest of plays and his passing is phenomenol now. Half of Ronaldo's goal this season is just a simple pass from another player and a simple tip in or finish by Ronaldo which most of the time he cant even do right... Ronaldo gets a lot more chances then messi in games. (just look at the shots on goal too)

i would not say messi is a complete player. he can't use his head to score, he relies on the same dribble technique OVER AND OVER (the fake and then foot drag) and i would say 50 percent of his goals are chip shots (although i must admit, everyone likes seeing a chip shot). he's a good passer for barca, but that is owed more to their chemistry as a team rather than his ability. (as you can see when he is put in a #10 role for argentina, he is found wanting). also i think ronaldo went to madrid for the challenge, not bc he thought it would be a cake walk....

well he is 5 foot 5.... i dont think anyone really expects him to get most of his goals off headers but even surprisingly he is really good with his headers too and has a bunch with it. Ya he uses that same dribble technique over and over and even tho the defender knows he's gna use it, he always beats them nd thats the thing, he doesn't try to impress people with his moves but instead jus gets the job done by doing whatever it take to get passed the defender efficiently. He definitely does only score off chips too... he has great finesse curves, from far, some strong strikes from the top of the box and when the keeper thinks he's gna chip he fakes passes the goalie and just tips it in. And Ronaldo def didnt go to madrid for a challenge, come on man how could u believe that, he went to madrid for the money and for glory... being the top at 2 different leagues Overall for messi's physical attributes and characteristics he is "the complete player", you're not gna see him throwing beasting people off of him weighing 130 pounds... or seeing him score headers at 5'5" but you will see him effortlessly running passed everyone, and efficiently finishing which he always does. Then look at Ronaldo at 6"2 weighing prob around 180 (seems buff) but instead plays like a bitch, dives anytime there's to much contact and for all the chances he gets he doesn't finish effectively. But ill give him one thing he's fucking fast

Madrid fan here... I agree with everything MessiDona said. I think Messi is more of a complete player because he is a playmaker and a striker at the same time. It's true that CR7 lately he's been passing the ball more but he's just not a playmaker. He tries too hard that he gets pressured and fails. I have not seen a single match this season where Ronaldo set the pace effectively... I've been saying this very often now but I think Madrid should get rid of Ronaldo, put Benz in the LW and Higuain as a CF. Even though Higuain is a bit selfish at times, sometimes I think he's a better striker. He positions the ball well, good finesse, and powerful too. Ronaldo is all power. 4-3-3 Casillas- Arbeloa Ramos Pepe Coentrao- Alonso- Sahin Ozil - Di Maria Gonzalo Benz.

Also with Ronaldo out, Callejon can be a sub for Gonzalo, Benz, or DiMaria. Please take Ronaldo out and nurture Gonzalo and Benz. They are very good and still very young...
