A classic Italian heavyweight clash returns to San Siro, but despite playing away, Juventus FC look like the side arriving with greater authority. AC Milan did collect an important win over Verona, yet the performance itself raised as many questions as answers. Milan created little against one of the league’s weakest sides and were far from convincing after the break. It was a result, not necessarily a statement.
Juventus, meanwhile, continue to build momentum at exactly the right stage of the season. They remain unbeaten throughout the spring run, have collected consecutive league victories, and look more balanced both mentally and tactically. Confidence is high, structure is clear, and they seem to know how to manage tense matches better than many of their rivals.
That does not mean this should be one-sided. Games between Milan and Juventus are usually tight, physical and decided by moments rather than dominance. Milan still carry enough quality at home to make life difficult, especially with the energy of San Siro behind them. But right now Juventus appear more stable, more efficient and more trustworthy.
At the back, Juventus have improved since key defensive returns, yet they are still not fully untouchable against stronger opposition. When facing teams around the European places, they have continued to allow chances and have not consistently kept clean sheets. Milan may not be at their best, but they should still be capable of finding opportunities in a high-stakes home fixture.
Main prediction: Juventus to win.
Alternative prediction: Both teams to score.
