Here's why this was a clear penalty. Coufal touches the ball twice, but in between, he touches Lacazette. The second touch of the ball, clearly diverts its trajectory = he wins the ball. The first touch, however, is very slight and if you look at the replay, the ball doesn't change direction. In fact, had Lacazette managed to jump over Coufal's legs, he would've been on goal. So because Coufal doesn't win the ball with his first touch but rather with his second touch (only AFTER fouling Lacazette) it's a penalty. Sorry, but you don't win a ball after fouling a player (:

I think it was another poor piss performance by refs, we should have had penalty in first half when Laca went down in in box = somehow it wasn't penalty.
Just few moments after there was blatant dive by Soucek, literally 2 meters in front of linesman = somehow it was a foul.
Then Antonio studs up on Ramsdale = somehow not even a card
Then Coufal slide on Laca = somehow a penalty.

literally every decision ref/VAR did were wrong.

True, but again, the penalty was the correct decision.

What a pile of non-sense - my understanding, it's a contact sport and because a player touches another player does NOT necessary means a foul ffs!
These sort of incidents are ruining the game......

Of course it's a contact sport. But given the momentum, Lacazette fell because of Coufal's contact. Had Coufal not touched the ball at all, no one would've complained about a penalty decision. And because he doesn't clearly win the ball BEFORE tripping Lacazette, it's a legitimate penalty. Prove me wrong.

That penalty was harsh but open to interpretation, that said, no way was that a yellow card - let alone a second yellow card. VAR should’ve overturned that red and said that was a clear and obvious error.
Overall great game for arsenal, laca was a beast today. Really interesting that arteta keeps preferring to put Nketiah on instead of Pepe, the kid is leaving!!

Scissors through Lacazette legs in the box completely off the ball is not a penalty? Literally fuck the whole var in EPL. referee doesn’t blow penalty because he waits for var, var says it’s not “clear and obvious error” fuck these clowns.
