Congrats to Morata for being the first player to get a hattrick of disallowed goals in the UCL

I wonder if Barca got a mental boost from Bartomeu resigning or something. They looked so much better today

Barcelona played very well and it made me wondering. Then I remember, they just lost in El Clasico and Bartomeu resigned. They have those reasons to bounce back.

Pedri surely gave Cuadrado a bad time.

Messi worked hard. The penalty is like a 'present' for him. He deserved at least a goal.

Fati needs to be more greedy. I couldn't believe he tried to pass the ball to Braithwaite when he's already on 1v1 situation.

If this Barcelona team is supposed to be in decline, then god help the rest of us trying to catch up.

Firstly. Juventus are not in a good place. But you have to give credit where credit is due, especially after Barcelona coming off a bad defeat in El Classico. The football, the combinations, the one two's, the dribbles and general offensive play tonight by Barcelona really was a joy to watch. PedrI - wow. The kid literally took cuadrado to the cleaners. Dembele when fit is an elegant monster. Maybe Griezmann needs to be a bit more greedy and maybe they shouldn't always look to walk the ball into the net. But so much class, so much character, so much personality and those combinations literally played Juventus off the park. Wonderful performance.

What a performance from Barca, fresh, fast and efficient. Everyone looks motivated, hungry. And Messi is smiling again. What a week for them.

Pedri was over the roof, 17!!!!! Pjanic should start, he makes the different in the mid and great to see Koeman use De Jong right again. And Lenglet, the guy is dope today, some really good dribbles

The second opportunity shaved the post. It happens. Messi missed an easier chance in the first half. But his combination play was admirable. Difficult to pick who played badly in that Barcelona team to be honest. Maybe Roberto defensively.

I agree with you partly, because the scoreline could have been very different, if Juve wasn't so unlucky. 3 offside goals, 2 handballs in the box, the penalty given (contact was outside the box?), you felt the frustration grow..

I don't know why ansu came on for dembele and not for griezman imo. and then the game was already decided and Ansu Fati had it on the foot but wasn't selfish enough. They really always want to walk the ball into the net
0

I wouldn't call the offisdes 'unlucky' as they were all clearly offside. As we've seen so far with handballs, it's a grey line. But it takes nothing away from Barcelona playing at a whole other level.
Maybe because dembele hasn't played very much and was tiring.

perhaps yeah. they also had a change in the lineup.. pjanic played really well, pedri looking to get a spot in the first team, pique missing (thank god), not to mention ter stegen.. But then again on Juve side, no one can fill the gap of that one important player

Go on the live score page on Facebook. Infested by African armchair fanatics who don't actually watch games commenting on Messi penalties etc. It isn't just africans. Just plastic armchair fanatics. Never go to games, very rarely even in the country of the team they support and also rarely watch matches. Game finishes, they look at the score, who scored and then begin to spew drivel. The infest pretty much all of the online comment forums and platforms.

Your understanding of what constitutes racism is not only sketchy but an insult to the human brain. I can't call a congregation of African online 'experts' armchair fanatics, because it happens to be racist? I think you need to look up what constitutes racism and bigotry. You're embarrassing your own intelligence. You're either incredibly thick or have a race complex. Whichever one it is, it is for you to deal with and not me. Or maybe you're just getting your knickers in a twist because you're an armchair fanatic yourself. Liverpool 'fan'.

10 years ago Messi and Ronaldo were fighting one another in the same league. It was a Barcelona vs Real Madrid issue. As for 'focus'...because I have to follow live score and this sort of comment trend is consistent from week to week. So to say that live score is dominated by African armchair fanatics is racist too? šŸ˜‚ What else? Me saying that most comments on the bbc are by men is also racist towards men? it is indeed a congregation of African armchair fanatics. You can look on the page itself. Livescore is a live score website. It is where people look to check on the scores. So when the majority of these type of comments happen to be by African accounts somehow then makes it racist? What about if I somehow commended these armchair fanatical experts on their exemplary input? Is that then racist towards everyone else who comment, who isn't African? I'm talking about football. Comment on football related forums. It's not like I'm judging these people on their lives, upbringing or anything remotely race related. The person who's somehow confused that is you and your pitiful brain.
I participate here & also support my team. Something you'll never understand. Come and call me racist to my face

Football is a globalized industry nowadays. And even the European teams travel around the world during preseason for marketing purposes. They want to have fans from other parts of the world, including africa. So if you don’t like people from far away supporting your ā€localā€ club, then tell them to stop reaching out to those fans.

I watched this game and the point is to make people question their naming of CR7 as Penaldo, as the vast majority who does that are Messi fans. And he has scored quite a lot of his goals from the penalty spot lately. The point is to show how that it’s ridiculous using this kind of naming.

Yes this is an old topic, but still alive... don’t pretend anything else. Are you for example missing the Bruno Penandez jokes...

@Algerino. What 'hate'?? Where is the hate? I'm referring to a section of the online footballing fraternity that engages in the action that I've clearly described. Me criticising the African dominated comment sections on livescore for being besotted with Messi vs Ronaldo argument is not hate. It's not like I've somehow denigrated where they come from, upbringing or anything that is remotely xenophobic. My criticism is purely football related. When have I ever said anything negative about your origins? Criticism is not racism. Critique that isn't borne out of xenophobia or somehow backed up by xenophobic leanings is not racism.

@Pelle. Football has always been a globalised game. It isn't just now that teams play globally or somehow reap the rewards of global exposure when it comes to the bottom line. But no, that doesn't mean that I have to somehow be OK with plastic fanaticism. Plastic fanaticism generally always manifests itself in your form. A wonderful football match played in Torino - a game that I really enjoyed because Barcelona played very well.
BUT. Instead of coming on here to maybe say something interesting or constructive, you've gone and make the most pathetic, completely pointless and superficial statement anyone can make. Penaldo? And you don't want me to judge it along with all of the other degenerate comments along the same lines?

I had to come back and give you right a little bit. Messi vs Ronaldo is not an african thing, its a global thing... and I don’t like to make it a thing about races. But a lot of africans have lately been swarming in ā€Bleacher report footballā€ (and a few other places where I hang out sometimes) with tons of troll comments... the post about PSG earlier today wasn’t an exception. šŸ˜•

I was struck by it, and it made me think of your input here, there is actyally something to it... so I take specifically back ā€Mr Racistā€.

(Anyway most of the african football fans are just nice people wanting to share their thoughts on football.)
