His passes may not be that accurate (86%, similar to Kante), but in terms of keeping possession, he's reliable. I've seen many instances so far this season, when the team was under pressure while keeping the ball, and he casually just whipped the ball to a flank with a long pass. He also has a commanding presence, often seen instructing his teammate where to pass, again as a means to keep the ball. Maybe this is why he was chosen as a vice-captain. That and the other things off the pitch that only Lampard and the staffs know, such as behaviour, training performance, etc.

That being said, I'd like to see Kovacic play more matches, because he deserves more game time.

United problem:
Those who can tackle but not pass: AWB, Fred, Mctominay
Those can pass but not tackle: Pogba, Shaw
Those who can't do both: Harry, Lindelof
Those who try to do both: Bruno, Rashford

I don't know how and why Fred stayed on the pitch for the complete 90 mins. The number of times he gave the ball away + number of times he almost gave it away just baffled me.

Rashford needs to be more clinical. You can not bottle 1v1 chances.

Expected 0-0... and put a bet on it in case the game would be boring. And it was incredibly boring, but I won so it wasnt complete waste of time.

Chelsea-Man utd just doesnt have the excitement like other big epl games.

This match is, for lack of a better word, boring AF.

With how Mendy saved all those shots, I wonder if Kepa could muster the same kind of performance.

I was expecting an entertaining game. No it was the opposite. Chelsea defended well though. I love the fantastic save from Mendy at the end. Chelsea should have a penalty in the first half. Maguire held Azpilicueta and wrestled him to the ground/grass

What are you talking about? Mendy was one of the best players on both sides.

My eyes hurt from watching that garbage of a game. I wish I could turn back time so I didn't have to watch it lol

But all jokes aside you expect goals from these two giants especially from Chelsea after what they spent on attackers. Oh well, a draw suits us rival fans so well done to both teams.

how that Maguire grabbing Azpilicueta wasn't a penalty?

Funnily enough, they checked the challenge on Rashford from every angle but didn't even bother with the WWE type of grabbling. It looks like United get all the benefit of the doubt in both penalty-boxes when it comes to penalties.

It has to be an offside check or a handball if we want to see VAR in action. Rubbish.

They have been making the matchfixing too obvious lately or I've just started to notice
