I thought Chelsea were decent up until that rugby moment from Christensen. A red card tackle with still 45 mins to go? How dumb is this guy. He let his team down. The first goal was beautifully worked. Second one was pure hard work from Mane, you'd think his team was a man down, while some of the Chelsea defenders were jogging during that goal. I enjoyed that mistake from Kepa. lmao. Totally deserves it. I just can't respect this guy after that disgraceful moment he had with Sarri. Well deserved win for Liverpool!

Of course, it's not just him, after all, it's a team sport but there's no doubt he's a bad Keeper and you can't have that when you're a club like Chelsea.

I've been a big fan of Kepa ever since he refused to come off for Sarri.

Glad to see he's doing well.

hard to win a game when we were down to 10 men.

No, no , no. I can’t accept this goalkeeper performances game after game! It influences defense confidence! Good goalkeeper has more than just one role and Kepa can’t do any of them. This guy needs counseling or something.

Keep hasn't covered himself in glory, but he certainly isn't responsible for the poor defence. Typical scapegoating. Chelsea conceded 64 goals in all competitions last season. There's something fundamentally mediocre with their defending and a new goalkeeper won't fix that overnight.

Kepa should've asked to be subbed this time..

They were probably angry he left them rather than thinking he's a bad keeper. They watched him for years and know how good he is but you hardly wanna see a player do well when they choose another club over yours.

chelsea needs time, new signings this new signings that.. so full of 💩.. thiago came to england less than 4 days ago and had a solid game. blame the manager not the players. lampard is so full of excuses its appalling. his post match interview says it all. still an amateur. every time they loose to liverpool - wind was blowing left, ref forgot to wear his socks, kante didn't brush his teeth etc etc i.e this joker is constantly addressing alternative realities instead of pressing on current actual outcomes.

If Kepa isn't dropped after this game then Lampard should go, mistake after mistake, Chelsea will never win anything with Kepa.

Good job Ali on saving that, but in what universe is that a penalty? We win 2-0 and so nobody speaks about it...

Damn.. I really thought there were 2 van dijk.. What a performance from fabinho.. Sadio is sadio.. Nothing to say about him.. Salah play great too.. Overall a deserved win despite that red or mistake from Kepa.. N i agree that lampard is at fault.. D. Simeone athltico madrid already show the blueprint how to beat liverpool.. With chelsea set of players, they are more than capable to do that..

Simeone and ATM got lucky in that UCL match our GK had a nightmare and we weren't clinical enough in front of the goal.

mirkivicinic 6 years ago

Liverpool, Burkina Faso U20 0 266

Yes simeone is lucky enough to get alisson injured in anfield. And the subs gk made a horrible mistake. But in that match, idk why we tilt after that howler. A champ like us shud be have kobe mentality, and its proven time after time before

xumeey 6 years ago

Liverpool 0 1462

It was two howlers actually, the second goal he was out of position and let in an easy goal. There was nothing wrong with our mentality we were just very unlucky to concede such easy goals in a bad time against a tough opponent.

I feel so dumb for not having previously known how good Thiago was, even though people around me used to be smitten by him.

I criticised Lampard's tactical impotence last season and their inability to defend. Chelsea won't achieve their ultimate aims with Lamprd as manager. he just doesn't belong to that level.

True. I think defence is not his main philosophy. But tbh his playstyle quite entertaining before money comes. Lets see how they play this season.

U saw conte grow bigger after losing to liverpool in bridge

I know that they won't but if I were Chelsea, I'd have looked to bring back Sarri post his sacking at Juve. There seemed to be an almost arrogant like expectation placed upon him by Chelsea fans but in the one season there, he got them to win the Europa League, play brilliantly in the league cup final and all of this despite rumbles of discontent and even pathetic and unforgivable player power. But. Lampard is English and the English press will not single out their tactical failings or explanation for conceding 64 goals last season. It had to all be attributed to the transfer ban. With that squad and number of young players, Chelsea need an experienced and strong character to take them to that next level.
