Mock Atletico tactics but they played brilliantly. They deserved this more than us and I’ll be supporting them even tho it aches to see our team collapse like that. Brilliant from Liverpool in the first 90! Hopefully more of that to wrap up the premier league and look forward to next season! Side note everyone stay safe with the COVID-19 outbreak!

Booing every single time opponent touch the ball, like a bunch af animals. I do understand understand their pain and expectations, but man... let's have some dignity. Nevermind it seems to help Atletico to win, this team is exceptional one

Just out of curiosity I visited a major LiVARpool Web forum to enjoy their suffering. A lot of bin dippers actually preyed coronavirus spreads even more so uefa cancels the CL and they remain the trophy holders for at least another season! This is utter human garbage! On a similar note,it would be epic if they cancel the Pl and declare a zero season. 30 years of misery and counting! Priceless!

Liverpool had that win in the bag, easily could have walked away with a WIN. Sadly the goalie did a HORRIBLE clearance which led to Athleticos' goal. Like common... what was he thinking? It was such a bad clear. Liverpool was the better team today - sadly the goalie gave it away. Congrats Athletico.

The main problem of plan 4-3-3 is that there is a spaces opened in your field when you attack your opponent team and Atheletico Madrid is the best team in Europe plays counter attacks and they scored in 90 % of their attacks but they will never win the UEFA cup with this defensive performance

I agree with your analysis, but, disagree with your ending. You can win a UCL with a defensive approach, yet, it does not always work.

L'pool fans proved being such a d**heads last night, nobody has acted like that in 1st leg on Madrid stadium

Without VAR or luck Liverpool would've been a mid table club.

No offense, but Man Utd should be one of the last teams talking about VAR

yayaya .. keep talking nonsense. Liverpool won championsleague last year & EPL this year. BIG WINS for us! Goalie gave them that free win.

@ LewisYNWA. 30 years of being a marginal deep country team has taken the toll on all dustbiners!

Liverpool are out of every competition. It will be icing on the cake if they don't win the title because they had to cut the season short. 30+ years and counting

I felt like Liverpool deserved the win. If you watched the full game, the first 90 minutes was theirs.
But of course, Atletico took the most out of the game and congratulations. The game did feel like it spun around after Adrian's mistake but I don't personally blame him. Good game. No shame for losing this for Liverpool.

stop blaming Adrian,
scoring only 1 goal in 180 minutes isn't his fault

It was his fault... lol

Leonardito 7 years ago

nah, it was mayoral's fault, his strike was too good. on both of his goals. i guess blaming him makes the defeat easier to take.
this mistake wasnt a 100% scoring chance, the fact that mayoral had to strike from outside the box says that he had no better option

No one would mind a team that plays great football, enjoys their wins and keeps on winning while staying humble and respectful. The bin dippers and the phony media on that stupid island north of France wanted to shove every single win down the throat of every single football fan out there. Guess what? You danced one season and your fluke of a success lasted exactly that long! Bye, bye! See y'all in 30 years!

Wtf is up with goalkeepers brain during these sort of games? Why not stop the ball then kick it out? No one is pressuring you.. just stupidity. Then mistake after mistake followed. I don’t want to take credit away from Atletico, but they should also thank Adrian for their win.

soccer_cat 7 years ago

Liverpool actually played very well. Don't deserve too much criticism. If it hasn't been for Oblak, would've been a humiliation. Huge respect.

People blaming only Adrian are fools. What about those who were wasting clear scoring opportunities left and right? lmao. Talk about trying too hard to find a scapegoat. Liverpool were way too wasteful. Atletico converted 2 half chances and one clear chance. They totally deserve to go through. Congrats to them!

Disagree, Oblak showed what a big difference a strong gk can make. Alisson wouldve got liverpool over the line like many games in the league this season. Liverpool wouldnt have won the league without Alisson

Do you even understand important of top world class goalkeeper? Impact he makes on the back line aside from his skills is invaluable!

tommyprayogo 7 years ago

Liverpool, England 0 42

It's not a scapegoat if it's literal blunder. Moreover, we're not wasting chances, Oblak made saves. Understand? Fairly i have to say ATM deserve to go through, need a big mental to comeback at Anfield.

HaXXspetten 7 years ago

Well then say that Liverpool lost because Oblak was brilliant then instead of putting all the blame on one of your own players
