How would that be a bad thing? If a team like Leipzig or Atalanta wins that'd be the first really big upset winner since Porto. Most people would love that

Absolute horror show from Varane, one of the worst performances in CL history along with Karius.. you dont see that often that a player makes 2 absolute howlers on this stage

It wasn't Varane's errors, it was Jesus' relentless pressing that did Real in. Talking like Varane gifted two goals, when Jesus was the one applying pressure and HUSTLE to poach his goals. He worked his ass off for those goals. Varane remains one of the elite defenders in global football, I'm sure he'll shake off these mistakes. Changing of the guard. LFG.

Kinda sad looking at Hazard like that. Looks just like a normal player among the others. He will be better next season.
Watching Ederson with the ball at his feet and Courtois looking so uncomfortable playing with his feet was so satisfying!
And Kyle Walker is physically amazing!!

lol, you should keep quiet when it comes to goalkeepers.. Courtois was the best keeper in La Liga this season, he was fantastic.. on the other hand Kepa was a very different story

If someone is jealous of Varane's performance, that's David Luiz.

OK ok ok Varane. But just want to point out: Keylor Navas > Courtois. Why?
Because a "bad keeper" that does make mistakes, not exceptionally talented but is a WINNER is better than a "good keeper" with great overal skills but is just a fuckin loser. He is. And his lack of communication with Varane is part of Varane's mistake. He has no calming-organizing-motivating effect on his defense. Navas knew how to be a part of the defense and a leader, despite his many drawbacks.
On the other hand they did win La Liga so... Maybe Courtois is fine? I dunno. Just my thoughts

Courtois was amazing in La Liga, had most clean sheets and after corona he performed perfectly, not sure you can blame this on him.

I think CR7 could have still went strong with this team, clearly given what he is doing with Juve.

" bullied by a midget " first of all Jesus isn't a midget. Secondly height has nothing to do with strength. I'm guessing you think Peter crouch is stronger than Adama traore or akinfenwa because he is almost a whole foot taller than both of them?

I'm guessing you're some scrawny kid who's never done any strength training in your life. Don't say rubbish without knowing anything.

FFS it was a joke! Two of our front three are short and the greatest player of all time is 5'7 so I have no problem with short players.
0
sandrito 4 years ago
Juventus, Italy 1 548
Salah and mane are 5 foot 9 which is the average height for men in many developed countries. 5 foot 7 and below is considered short.
0
xumeey 4 years ago
Liverpool 0 1462
They are short for footballers that's why they rarely score headers. Why are you comparing athletes to normal people?
0
sandrito 4 years ago
Juventus, Italy 1 548
Height has nothing to do with heading. Mane has scored many headers or are you deluded. Heading is how you jump and position yourself. Aubameyang is 6 foot 2 but he rarely scores headers that's because his jumping is shit not becaude of height. You can be 5 foot 5 and outjump a person who is 6 foot 2

" short for footballers " yeah because footballers are expected to be 6 foot 6+ giants like in the nba or nfl aren't they?

There's an exception to every rule you muppet. Short players rarely outjump taller players. Mane doesn't score a lot of headers considering the number of crosses that are delivered in the box.

Then you're just a deluded twat if you think that becaude I've seen guys like Alexis Sanchez outjump tall defenders because he has a mighty spring whilst tall defenders are stiff and heavy to leap off the ground dumbass

Juventus, Italy 1 548
Scoring headers isn't everything. Winning headers from goal kicks, defending corners , Winning 50/50s I've seen many short players win headers against stiff tall players

Real Madrid out, Juventus out, so champions league ends right now for me. 2020 is getting worse and worse. Wouldn't be surprised if Leipzig or Atalanta wins it all.

What a terrible night for Varane. Madrid was very much in the game but those mistakes were definitive. Ramos really missed for RM, hopefully he stops being so dirty.

Considering how good Madrid have been defensively in La Liga this season, they really dropped the ball tonight on that front

It's a team sport. If the midfield had done its job, the defense wouldn't have been under such pressure.

Let's be honest, they needed the Champions League king, CR7. He delivered that CL energy for us today and he would of saved RM in this match if he still played there.

Well, your so-called Champions League king has been eliminated 2 seasons in a row with Juventus now. So it's best to say that they need each other.

You guys have your brains shut off. Didn't you guys watch the game today against Lyon? CR7 almost pulled a miracle for us, first with his penalty kick then his beautiful shot that went in making it 2-2 Aggregate. He would of done the same for Real Madrid if he played in this match. And you're still arguing that we lost? I'm talking about CR7 in every team he plays in; not about us getting eliminated. He can even pull the unthinkable for Portugal. RM needed him in this match. Don't know why you guys are arguing about us getting eliminated when that was not my point.
