Safe to say the only real losers here is the EFL for their lack of flexibility and awful scheduling

Let's be in Liverpool's shoes for a minute. Play two matches in 1week against Monterrey and Flamengo and you stand a chance of winning the FIFA Club World Cup or
Play three matches against Aston Villa then either Manchester City, Manchester United or Leicester City eventually in 2months and you stand a chance of winning the EFL. Choose wisely.

EFL is a stupid minor cup games created solely for money grabbing FAs and their affiliate.

Bravo Liverpool. FA has been screwing with our schedule forever! Clueless morons and they wonder why teams are exhausted with all the european games, winter games, league , fa and international games all squeezed in! Bravo! More clubs should do the same!

I love the fact that rival fans are taking this as a victory against Liverpool. It shows how strong Liverpool is and how frightened the rival fans are of Liverpool.

Liverpool kind of gifted Aston Villa the win. But, there wasn't much they could do

Actually Klopp trying to give it to Arsenal already, but because of our shitty squad and low class manager, we lose to a bunch of B squad 5-5 and penalty. See the interview Klopp gave after that. Clearly he already want to get out of this "minor non prestige, FA money grabbing" CUP.

LOL, sub or reserve, defeat is a defeat, Well done VILLA. Next time Reds will learn to show some respect to Villa, or remember this 5-0 lose.

Sometimes you must sacrifice the small money (EFL) for the big money (FIFA Club World Cup). In England you can achieve Treble if you can win EPL, Champions UEFA and FA Cup, but not EFL. So, better Club not focus in EFL. The price of EFL even can not buy Karius.

that true thinking..save 1st team for fighting a big game..

Karius is over-priced because of good looks.

Sad we dont have brewster. We will score at least 2 goals with him. But the output will be the same. This u23 bois need to organize their defence, they lack of leadership in backline. Overall they played their best and klopp must be proud with em

Just remember guys that liverpool squad need to travel to 3 countries in 11 days if the main/reserve team were to play here. It would be really exhausting when we have leicester games upcoming.

Klopp's own fault cos he doesn't need all of his second string players/second team over there - half of them will be unused and good job Villa played their reserves otherwise the score line would have been doubled or more!

supermok 7 years ago

Within 11 days, Liverpool need to face 4 teams (Salzburg/Watford/Villa/Monterray), which involving 4 different competitions, on 3 different countries, over 2 different continent. What do you expect Klopp to do?

binjai 7 years ago

0 1223

EFL doesn't even offer prestige or big enough prize money, so Klopp is smart enough not to take any risk by risking his player playing for stupid trophy, with their stupid management while Pool player already increase their injury possibility if they need to play while their body is tired with
Out enough rest.
