expected typical anti-football from Uruguay. All piled up at the back like always. This is a win for Scaloni, lots of persistence. This "friendly" was more competitive than most european qualifiers. great last game before March.

Argentina's pressing in that midfield is super impressive. They'll prevent any team from playing their game by giving so little time and space for opposition to build up play. The defense is still not great especially in the centre. They're simply not relying on Messi to do everything, but play as a unit while Messi being part of the unit. That's the most effective way of using Messi or any other great player. When the entire team is playing with high intensity and good performance that is 100% on the coach. These players are being trained properly and they're listing as well. They might not achieve anything immediately, but that's definitely the right track to be on.

Good to see people fighting cursing and fouling eachother in a Friendly!
Of course no one will go for any crazy slide tackle, dive, cheat, or do anything to risk injury (the bad stuff in football) but the fights and competitiveness are so important! Nice game

Great performance from both team. I really liked Argentinas lineup today. To leave Dybala and Augero out it's a crime. I did understand aganist Brazil but with a more defensive minded team like Uruguay the coach made the right choice. Such a hard team to play aganist Uruguay. rock solid in defence and a deadly attacking duo!
