VAR working as intended though?

Poor. We need help from the other team to score, as no one aside from Messi and maybe Fati create any chance of note.

According to the rules, that's a penalty. Unlucky but a penalty. The ball hits the upper arm of the defender. It wasn't intentional but the defender is going for the ball and misjudged it. So it was a mistake leads to an unintentional hand-ball in the box.
Sorry Sociedad but it was great play at Camp Nou and Barca were very lucky to get away with 3 pts.

Griezmann would curse himself. He couldn't capitalize on the chance of replacing Suarez who is out for half of the season.
Even Braithwaite seems more relaible upfront.

Logical victory with 7 shots on target for Barcelona vs 1 for Real Sociedad. Yet we'd like to be more convinced because this is really light years away from Guardiola's Barça.

Ive watched few barca matches this season and this is another messi booking. He hasnt been his sharpest lately, his touches are heavier, his passes not crispy perfect, his ball retention in tight areas has been poor and his shooting dont feel dangerous.

Your fellow concerned and unsatisfied football fan. Because id pay to watch messi over ronaldo all day

For sure Barca will go for Neymar and Lautaro in summer. Will be great next year. Miss old barca team when every team was afraid to play against us

i think we have bigger problems than bring new players...we need top class manager who will push the squad to perform on their limits because even current squad has potential to win all but for some reason they are giving maybe 70% at best
then top management should change too, there are too many controversies which bring instability to the club and i think this is negatively affecting the players
we definitely have to improve out market strategy because we are paying too mush for players who do not perform and later are sold for much less and we should also give more focus on talented players from our academy, if they are not good enough, then we should analyze what needs to be done for them to be top class again

I agree.. but unfortunately no top manager wants to take over barca! So we have not many choices right now

yup i'd say very harsh penalty, not 100% sure if it was arm or shoulder and seems like ball would hit defender body anyway -> in light of all that I would probably not give that penalty

and messi's penalty was really poorly executed, I mean if there are 3 points in play, end of the match and necessary win after last week i would expect he will smash the ball to the net without any doubts

Var in La liga is a joke. The Real Sociedad today deserved draw or more and Setien should leave the barça.

I guess enjoying a barca loss was too much to ask for after we knicked a win 🤷‍♂️

When the ref has to look the same clip 4 5 6 times then you know it's going to be a contentious decision.

Messi saved their ass once again with this war against Real Madrid LaLiga title.

VAR is a good (not in EPL) when applied correctly. If anything needs fixing is the laws of the game i.e. handballs, or mm offsides.
