I Think Ernesto Valverde is not the suitable coach for Barcelona because he has weak brain and he will never get something new about his formation 4-3-3 .............. Barcelona team needs new coach at the beginning of the season

I see many people criticizing dembele's performance. Dembele is simply not being utilized properly. Infact, the most underutilized player in the squad. He's a young player with not much experience. He needs to be guided. Dembele needs some space to perform well and he's our best counter attacking player with loads of talent and yet he's always stuck in tight places trying hard to dribble or find a pass. Dembele is the best for diagonal passes in the box. But he's always confused on what to do, and honestly I could say that about most of our young players with great potential. It's just not their fault when they're playing with piss poor plan and tactics. My biggest fear is adding Dembele in the Neymar deal by this stupid board and that would be a true disaster.

He's 84 rated on fifa and you say he ain't experienced what a joke

Barcelona without Messi is just an avarge la liga team. It is going to be hard for them when Messi retires or leaves.

Unless they get proper coach. Remember Messi was and still part of a strong system that was developed over decades. Obviously as Messi being the world's best makes the team much better and with a class coach almost unstoppable. However, even without Messi Barca will never become average with their current football identity.

Just wow!!! Goal of the season right there!!! Good luck beating that lol. Anyways, I understand that this is the first game and players might've been tired from travelling and all. But the confidence they had from the Napoli game wasn't there and one could not believe this was the same team. With Valverde there is never urgency under no circumstance. Passing the ball around and wasting time instead of being direct with high intensity. If I had to take some positives from this game would be rafinha's energy and fitness. I really hope he'll have a role this season. Also, De Jong as usual having a great performance as well as Roberto especially running forward. On another note, I hope Xavi will have the chance to coach Messi. This might be next season or 2021 after the board's elections.

Xavi hasn't managed a single game and you think he is experienced enough to take one of the top clubs in Europe??? That's like hiring lampard both good players rubbish managers

Akkadian 7 years ago

Barcelona 0 554

Xavi is coaching Al Saad and they are in the quarter finals of the Asian champions league. So he has managed more than a single game. Also, he also helped the coaching staff of Enrique during his last two seasons with Barca. With so many talents in the club right now; 1 he would definitely do much better than Valverde, and 2 he could have a similar success as Pep did with Barca. So yes, in 1-2 seasons I do think he'll have enough experience to take the Barca job.

Im not even sad. Cause its a fact, as long as valverde gets them wins in la liga and copa del rey, him and bartomeu will stay.
I wont even mind if they keep getting humilliated left and right. Last season humiliated by liverpool and valencia and the form continues to this season.

We are truely a pathetic club right now with this management (fails in UCL in ridiculous ways for 2 consecutive seasons in same fashion and play ugly football with world class players and still not fired??? clearly says they dont have a project at all)
Its just every season barto signs some top players and our fans forget the humiliation and be like, trebel is coming blah blah

oleg1988 7 years ago

What we should be afraid of is that noone is afraid of us at the moment and it won't be easy to change it back. Earlier every single club has had a respect to Barca, because it was a deadly machine, everyone when Barca makes its first move. Now its Barca waiting for someone first move, like a f*** victim, we let everyone think that he can play equal football with us. Giving everyone a chance to win is already losing. That's why teams like betis, r.sociedad, Roma... are trashing us, they didn't change their game, we did

Or spend nothing and finally suck Valverde, he literally castrated this team. They've bought some really good expensive players during last 2 windows, he has been given time and we're playing like that when season starts!?

Aduriz. What a goal. Take note, man is 38 years old.
I was rooting for the underdog tonight, they were wearing yellow jersey, and aduriz spoiled our well fought draw. Anyway with our defensive coach hopefully we can aim for EL spot
Barça is 100% ready for post messi era. They will go back to the club they used to be, celebrating 4th spot, Oh i missed those days.

Well, I am absolutely shocked with this team performance. Valverde is back at it again, not playing busquets and what a surprise that rakitic comes on in the 2nd half. frenkie I felt was great. I don't even wanna hear the name Dembele right now, absolutely shocking. But I have to applaud to that Aduriz goal. Absolutely Incredible. He comes in the last minute and does that. Please Bartomeu, fuck off my team and take valverde with you.

To start your last pro season scoring a fantastic goal within the first minute after entering the game in dying minutes to get a win over the champions. Fairy tale for Aduriz! Such a player!
