We missed Hendo. I hope we are better than this when we face AM in the 2nd leg. Even though Liverpool didn't perform well they showed character and determination to win the game with a little bit of luck.

I can't believe a keeper of Fabianski's level took that second goal.

Yea lack of creativity bcs no hendo in midfield. And yes our opponents already know how to prevent trenta and robbo to cross and how to sit back to prevent our front runners. But we shouldnt have to concede 2 goals. There is some complacency in our backline, joe gomez is not that consistent yet to cover vvds hole. When matip is fully fit, then we can back to our mightiest form and lineup

Liverpool were complaisant tonight.....Good that they turned the heat up and had the fodder to score 4 goals (1 disallowed) They gave West Ham too much and let them look good at times. Liverpool should have had at least 1 penalty but at Anfield, we should not be clawing wins to close to relegation teams

Good comeback and all. But our inability to break down teams that pile men backwards will be our downfall unless we can find a way to crack it. So far we haven't found a way. But top class game form both sides, good mentallity from the players of both teams to make a come back!

I don't know what you mean by you "haven't found a way". You always find a way. 26 wins 1 draw!

I mean take a look at Atleti or Napoli. Teams that play like taht are our kryptonite.

But we don't dismantle teams we grind out results by sheer force of will and "never give up mentality" not through talent to unlock the defence. Sometimes you face teams that have a similar mentality or just a stubborn team like AM who just refused to play football and that's when you need special players like Ronaldo or Messi for example. But honestly, we can't complain as Liverpool fans because we are seeing greatness in the making.

Yes you are right about well organised defensive teams being a hard puzzle. City had the same problem with teams playing 5-4-1 against them the last few years. That being said, it's not possible to dismantle every single team you face. Even the greatest club sides of the past have close games when the opposition plays well. The reason they are the "greatest clubs" is because they find a way to win. The even more impressive part about Liverpool is you don't really have 1 single game changing player. Every other week it's someone different. Also your pressing, transitions and choice of play is some of the best I've ever seen. I wouldn't be too worried about Athleti at Anfield honestly...

Liverpool fans have nothing to complain about at the moment but we're still football fans and if there's one thing we are known for is bickering over nothing hahaha.

Liverpool showing slight signs of fatigue.. Fatigue does not necessarily mean a physical one. A lack of creativity could be accounted for mental fatigue ,or even complacency.

Fabianski blunder protects Liverpool's unbeaten run 😥😢😞😩. This gives me hope they can lose before their 50th game to possibly go unbeaten

You just answered your own question, if they are my second team it means i dont want them to break the record of my first team Arsenal.

Wow.. we broke the long train..
It would be stupid on the part of a team complain about a bus or train.
If West Ham keeps putting these great fights, they can easily win the relegation battle

It's quite interesting that around a year or two ago, most fans would have agreed to selling him and now he's considered one of the pillars of our success. What an evolution for a player IMO. :-)

Come on Liverpool were a bit off tonight...but if we were playing city tonight like this...we would go down by 5 or 6. with West Ham i never had the doubt we would actually equalize if were laborious and win if we were industrious
