Mane's heading of the football is just outrages... Dunno how his numbers are as far as actually scoring headed goals but for a 175M tall dribbler he gets an insane amount of headers on target aswell as out jumping tall defenders... And also has vision and long pass... Pffffffft.... he's the best in the league in many ways.

How much luck can one club get? The higher up at Liverpool probably paid off the ref in every pl games they played. 30 yrs without a title will make you do weird things

People praising Liverpool. It has nothing to do with skills. It's 50% luck and 50% Aston Villa bricking it and couldn't get a draw. Every call this season has been going their way as well as some lucky bounces. Seen it in the spurs, Leicester and even in our game.

Nothing to say besides OMG...... We are now the late come back kings.
One thing would have made it better if Southampton held that bloody lead against man city.

Am so happy for Liverpool. Strength, skill and brilliance are very important in football but there comes a time when all that is needed courage. It only takes courage to say 'it is not over until it's over'. Great mentality from Liverpool. Keep it up Lads!

I am starting to doubt if football is even a game of skill. It seems that if a player scores a goal, he is lucky that the keeper kept his legs wide open, dived wrong way, was sleeping, was slow or defender was napping, not running, not jumping, not holding or marking AND if a keeper makes a save, he is lucky that the striker hit the ball at him, didnt catch the volley right, hit it at a comfortable height or defender just got a leg in, took the pace off or hampered the striker. I think i should switch to poker or golf where people use skill.

Also, i think messi and ronaldo should go play roullete all day instead of wasting time on the field. They seem to be the luckiest people on the planet.

Whatever sport involved such as football, poker, golf etc need skills and intelligent to strive.

I wonder did u know anything about skills? Keeper sleeping bla bla bla defender not running all that things require individual SKILLS and teamwork from training to avoid mistakes. Not only dribbling, u play fifa/pes u should knew better.

Luck will come later chance after chance. No luck will appear if no chance created.

U can watch golf, chess whatsoever skills u mentioned but u cannot deny football brings a lot way more excitement, passion, atmosphere, heart attack because its really the best sport in the world.

Lol. @beready looks like you are not ready for some sarcasm. Thanks @lord_salah for pointing out the obvious. But since not everyone got it, i shall explain again in a boring analytical fashion.

Well, i am tired of commentators and analysts just terming everything lucky. What i would say lucky is if the player did not intend the resulting action at all. For example the scholes goal where he completely miskicks the ball but still the ball rolls off of his standing leg and into the goal. THat is luck. Hitting the post and into the goal is not luck, it is called shooting on target and likewise hitting the post on the outside is called shooting off target and not bad luck. And so on and so forth for all such situations....

You are right. Modern football is a mechanical execution of pre-set tactics and repeated actions of a general game plan. It does take certain level of skill but it's not a requirement. The complete lack of individual brilliance (Messi, Iniesta, Xavi are marginal exceptions) leads to robotics behavior where physicality and uniformity of the actions form the face of the game. Those who think there's anything passionate about this are smoking some serious crap! I can barely watch more than 10 min of any given game these days. I always find myself switching to other sports, mostly individual where real skill and talent are actually required to perform.

Why did Salah get subbed off at the 65th minute? I didn't watch the full game

Maybe still not fully fit after that stupid tackle from Leicester Choudary, that fucking imbecile. Should've got red carded if Salah act a bit more hurt after the tackle and the ref will go to VAR to watch that nasty tackle.

he is still not fit..everyone can see..he refuse to take 1st time hit..refuse to take on 1 on 1 situation that he usually did..he really still not match fit..

Because he's so good at what he does, people are not allowed to watch him for more than 65 minutes without paying a premium.

yep surely... but his olympic athlete level jumping and running dosen't hurt either eh? smarts and positioning are important of course but usually defenders just boss players of his size...

@binjai Wow, nice argument, you destroyed it yourself. Thanks for that!
I don't hate anyone for his religion. I only judge players by who they are on the pitch.
