Still offside, whats the point of having VAR if you arent going to be accurate with offsides. Goal line technology says no goal if the ball is on the line by 1mm, why should it be different with offsides?

i am happy Spurs lost...But VAR is made for anal people who will also talk about it like they invented it and tend to be dismissive of any human factors, you know the arsehole's who think petty rules are everything and when you break one them in their eyes, they will try to book you or fine you or even abuse you, it's like they are trying to police you and when something something serious does go down they are 1st ones who will run for cover and also tend to be one's who will start crying...The goal should have stood because it was only mm's and the weight of pass to put son through was perfect and also the fact it was not a direct goal from that play, as we all know Kane had to follow up with another pass ...so to all anal people take that stick up out of your arseholes

Tottenham fans be like:

Can't have VAR work only sometimes. If its 10 metres offside or 1cm, its all fair. Frustrating, but still fair. Stop crying.

I think they should revise the rule and say that under 5 cm of offside should go in favor of the attack. Also I never understood why they go by the limbs, it should be by some average point in the center of the body, or by the legs... The torso leans forward when u sprinting and the defense obviously leans the other way... pathetic decision by VAR team.

If any part of the body that can be used to score the goal is offside, the player is offside. (practically anything but the arms and hands)

Damn I love the highlight. At how the salty and clearly a bias commentator salting about a right offside call even if its millimeter, its still offside just like goal line technology. Then when Leicester got their first goal, that commentator was silent for quite a while. Damn I love it. Stupid commentator, anybody know who he is? That spurs fan commentator.

Why does the English FA have to make everything so complicated? Whatever the fuck happened to the clear and obvious bullshit?

So get rid of goal line technology too since you wouldn't see the 1mm difference too.

VAR is a joke! They took way longer to decide the first disallowed goal than the second one. Poch didn’t get his own way in the summer and he’s showing his tantrums by not starting Lucas and Eriksen. Levy, listen to me you imbecile, 2 of our recent signings has been absolutely USELESS to us. STOP BEING A CHEAPSKATE FOR CHRIST SAKE! We clearly need to sign more players. Bring in Dybala and Bruno Fernandes in January. Absolute joke of a club. This cannot go on any longer. I, along with other Spurs fans have had enough of this bullshit. As much as I love Poch, I’m afraid he’ll be gone before Christmas. And a joke of a manager is gonna be in charge next because our owner is a freaking CLOWN! As long as Levy is still our owner, we’ll continue to be on the receiving end of this performance.

Those player wouldn't even want to come if they know that they'll always be a backup player to English player eventhough they are a far better in term of skill n quality. See how Son need to waste 1 or 2 season before being appreciated. If not because of Kane injuries, even with his skill, he can't get a spot. Now Moura also need to waste another season behind Alli etc. The reason is because Spurs just want English player to get the media and fans behind them. Even if they got Mbappe, Lewandowsky or any other better striker, fans will always demand the club to start Kane to be their starting eleven. The same reason why Poch made a bad decision to start him on UCL final.

An arm shouldn't be offside! As of the rule that the ball can't touch it. Football is dying!

I think the angle of the camera is hard to figure out, why not use the same camera technology like horse racing which give so direct message of who is in front, isn't it.

A cm offside is still offside. I think that much is a given. What makes this a bit iffy though is that it's quite difficult to determine the exact frame you should freeze the video at, I.E: when exactly does the ball leave the passing player's foot? Technology can't determine that: that's up to the VAR referee to look at manually. So there is still some uncertainty and human error potential

@horace223223 That's much easier to do in a racing sport though because all you need to do is set up a high speed camera across the finish line. An offside line however could be anywhere on the field

its not a guy drawing a line on the screen. its a technology that uses lots of calculations to verify that it is correct. It's been worked on for a long time. you can see with the line's as reference (which would be calculated using the position of the camera/field in mind) that son's armpit is furthest. if Evans had a different upper body position that puts his upper body further back than his leg then it would be different. defenders may start having to use that sort of body position to make use of VAR offsides

i think offside should be legs only - if any part of your leg is over the line then it's off, if it's arm or upper body it's on

Comfortable win turned loss! Lamela: Not good enough. Rose: can't cross. And poch: There's still a hole between midfield and defense!
