Chemistry isn't everything. It's a huge gamble not having enough backups. What if Salah or Mané get injured? They don't have any replacements of similar level that can step in. Having a shallow squad pretty much requires everyone to stay fit, uninjured and in good form for the whole season in order to work. Man City on the other hand have a huge safety net in case anything happens

I don't see us repeating last season. Our defense is shaky and Gomez is one of the problems. Allison did not impress in preseason and now he seemed a bit lacking at the beginning of the game. Norwich were impotent in front so that made the game a little easy. We should have taken Corts on loan though. He would have been our plan B. I sense our midfield is not enough of a threat. Hendo can't score even if his life depended on it. I hope the team gears up for the next one. I think LFc should have gone out for De ligt. Imagine him and Van Djik in defense......that would be reminiscent of the Henchoz Hypia days

Dayyyummm TAA free kick at the end was achly incredible....the power and accuracy! Him and Robertson are the only liverpool players I kinda admire.

But Trent defensively is quite bad if Salah doesn't run down or somebody else in the midfield covering him hard. Robertson is very good by himself. Hope he doesn't get injured or Liverpool really losing fire power from that side

While yeah Origi is now basically a club legend, His passing at times is, absurd. But his touch and shooting is brilliant.

Origi ia kinda poacher now but not like studge in sas day. Origi can find a room for himself so basically he dont need to pass the ball, just try to shoot and scored. All origi goals from last season till now represent my statement. Just a right man in a right place

Why didn't Liverpool sign anyone

Why sign players when your current squad is doing just great with the chemistry built up. Signing new players will ruin the chemistry and form. They're smart not signing new players.

So the team who won the title who already had a stacked squad improved their squad with Rodrigo and cancel but Liverpool didn't need to sign after needing just squad depth? If dijk or the front 3 injure then it's fucked

We have good players who are back from injury. So we kinda have new signings. Origi is also in his perfect form, Ferminho is alive and kicking, Chamberland, Shaqiri, and Wijnaldum can play forward if needed. And we have young lads who are so energetic to get a chance if you saw the pre-season games you will know what I mean. We are Good!

Familesso, just to remind you that Wilson is at bournemouth so we dont have any "energetic young players" apart of Kent who i dont think he is that good

The young lads we have, if you watched the preseason, are very impressive. We don't need anyone to ruin the chemistry we have. You have to understand, Liverpool is one of the few top teams that did not lose a player from last season starting squad. That is = AWESOME!

All the players we have are world-class. And they all stayed. Why sign anyone?

Just sign a right man at the right time while the team already in a champion state with great chemistry is a bold and great move. Klopp can easily sign world class player with his and his team reputation by now but to motivate a lot of promising young gun to challenge the main squad is some great management thing

Hopefully Alisson injury isn't too serious. It would be a disaster if we lose him.for most of the season.

Early indications suggested it could have been either a calf tear or – far worse – an Achilles injury which would likely keep him out for most of the season.

I don't know how I feel about this game. Alisson could be injured for most of the season and while we ended the game in the first half Norwich went through us multiple times they just couldn't find the target. Overall it was a fun game very happy with the result just worried about injuries this season.

I still think that matip is far better than gomez..most of the loophole is coming from gomez wrong position..well whatever, we won the game though..ali we hope nothing serious..that pukki goal should be easy save for ali..remind me of suarez attempt before we ran rampage in anfield..Ali will always make any save seems easy..

@hannanhaziq Yeah, Matip will feel hard done by being relegated to the bench, he had an excellent second half of the season. I don't think any keeper would've stopped Norwich's goal though, lovely finish.

But if klopp play matip in 1st place without rotation, gomez will not be a wc cb

Mohammad Salah a one season wonder huh haters keep talkin it's only making the Egyptian king hungrier for more royalty. The crown is his. I think he should honestly stay at Liverpool until he retires at 35.

Really good start to the season! Amazing first half perfomance, from Liverpool. But we need to work on maintaining that in the second half! Hopefully Alisson is ok!
