Totally deserved by Algerians, even though it wasn't a great final but it doesn't have to be
Best Team of the tournament, best attack 13 goals + best defense 1 goal + 1 Pen
they have beaten Senegal twice in that tournament, Senegal is the best African team !
they have beaten best african teams in the way, Ivory cost, Nigeria, Guinea ...
the scored an early goal and they managed to well keep it, well done !

NOw this is a shame! with (literally & statistically) one single fucking shot TOWARDS THE GOAL, THEY BECAME CHAMPIONS, wlist Senegal, by far the better team (& BEST on the whole tournament), didn't have the luck (or rather, it turned its back on them, along with VAR), and that total domination didn't ended up with even a single goal!
Sorry for Mane, Koulibaly ^ the rest of the stars of Senegal, but I'm also great for the young Empoli star, I. Bennacer, whom deserved to lift up the trophy for MVP. I'm sure that now, there will be MANY, MANY MORE Italian giants, other than Milan, who'd love to see him in their shirts this summer, even more!

We beat ivory coast nigeria and this senegal two times. We won every game in the tournament and scored most goals of all teams. Because we played defensively this match its a shame? You seem to forget that the most important stat is the goals. And senegal scored zero in two games against us. And the var decision was correct the player even put his hands behind the back and when it hit his arm it was along the body. The hand didnt go after the ball.

I think the goal could have been saved if the goalkeeper at least attempted to move. He just watched it go in without doing anything.

No he can't. But it will look better for him on tv if he atleast run back and tried to saved it

The ball was in the air for a long time he could've at least tried to save it.

Only if he could fly!

No need for flight he could run back towards his goal and punch it over the bar when the ball is coming down. I'm not saying he would've definitely saved it but he could have tried. There're at least two seconds between when the shot is deflected and when it enters the net and the GK is in the 6-yard box if he went back there's a chance that he could save it but he never tried to save it so we'll never know.

Algeria scores an early goal then parks the bus... not the most entertaining of display for neutral fans. Senegal had difficulties getting through that bus... So good defense from Algeria. Congrats.

@ Algerino : Over the whole tournament, yes Algeria was the most consistent team! But you have to admit that, in this game ( the final), Senegal was clearly the better team. Algeria scored a goal early in the game and then parked the bus. 12 shots for Senegal and 3 on target while you guys had only 1 SHOT during the whole game!! Stats don`t lie! You have to thanks your goalkeeper M`Bolhi, he was the MOTM! And you defended well too!

@Algerino but in this case offense didn't help Senegal win the game.
