No one is doubting that Madrid were fantastic up until the end of the 17-18 season. But since the start of last season it hasn't been the same team. That's not to say that they can't come back of course but looking exclusively at the 18-19 season then I don't think it's that unreasonable to say that Madrid and Chelsea were probably on similar levels. They both finished 3rd in their leagues, Madrid won the Club World Cup and got knocked out of the UCL in the Ro16 by Ajax whereas Chelsea won the Europa League and also only lost to City on penalties in the EFL Cup. They both had plenty of internal issues too but eventually weathered the storm. In a way they had similar seasons except people expect more from Madrid than Chelsea

I don't get Zidane. He shows a clear bias. Keeping Benzema (who isn't a quality striker but is a Frenchman) and wants to dump Bale (who is quality but isn't a Frenchman). BenZEMA is trash. Jovic will quickly fill the massive void that Benzema obviously poses. Unless Zidane keeps looking to place Benzema in the number 9 slot.

Can you define "quality striker" because last season benz had 30 goals 9 assists in 49 games while bale had 14 goals 7 assists in 42 games.
I mean benz is not cr7 but using massive void and trash to describe him while calling bale quality seems a bit much to me.

Real Madrid and Barcelona have the same problem: Dressing rooms filled of ex-stars with too much power on the club. I think of a period of at least 3 years of non Spanish domination in the Champions League. Next year it could be Pool, Juve, City.

Never forget Bale did more than what Zidane did for Real Madrid. If he wants to leave he should leave with respect. Zidane most not pushing him, Zidane did the same thing with James Rodreguez.
