Barcelona, Argentina 0 1

I thought it was smart of Valverde to play a more defensive strategy in the second half. Yes, Liverpool was dominating the game for a good 25 minutes at the start of the half, but Barca was able to hold on. With a team like Liverpool that can be so devastating on the counter, it was intelligent to hold back and not press so high. It's like in poker -- you adjust against who you're playing. If your opponent is loose and aggressive, you play tight and wait for an opportunity which is exactly how they scored the second goal. And then, of course, Messi's third - I honestly thought that it was too far out, but that's exactly why I love watching him play because he can still surprise me.

Which part of his comment deserved downvote?

Because too many stupid barca fans here in footyroom. Can't even say anything other than praising their team and player. Even if you try to praise but using more intellectual word,, they won't understand and they push down vote. So just use simple word, since they're mostly got low iq.

@Leonardito Football forums/comments section are always like this. If they see downvotes, there's going to be some bandwagon.

what's with Barca and diving? Half of the time it's just a Barca player flopping around on a pitch like a fish out of water

I understand people are frustrated with the result of the game, but there was clearly many others doing unethical things on the field. Mané clearly tried to fake a penalty / freekick atleast 3 times during the match. Also many players, with Fabinho standing out doing clear obstruction several times on Messi, but only getting booked for it once. The sad part is, all of these "details" are very typical in todays football and this game was nothing special when it comes to playing cheap tricks. Overall I think both the teams helped in making it a great match and in my opinion it was very entertaining.

Unlucky Liverpool, should have scored a goal for sure. 3-0 doesnt reflect the game, if you look at the stats it was pretty much dead even. Damn Messi...
Shame for the tie as a whole but if Liverpool can get a somewhat early goal in at Anfield they could turn it around.

I thougjt this comment made total sense. Liverpool was just as good or better until 75 min. They came to Camp Nou and played the kind of football most clubs could only dream of. Fair and square. Barca was however smart, composed and of there was Messi.

I would not be surprised if Liverpool wins 4-0 at Anfield. Messi has a tendency to feck up or become invisible when you least expected

Barca roflstomped Roma 4-1 only to get roflstomped back by Roma

gg Barca

Also I think Liverpool will be riled up by that Suarez celebration(lol). Their golden boy

The day Messi retires is a day football can become enjoyable again. Anybody can become a GOAT when they play in a 2nd tier league their entire career with only 2 clubs challenging for the title and getting winter breaks. Let's see him play a full season in the pl league.

Barraca 7 years ago

Barcelona, France 0 245

Stop doing drugs. How many clubs in this "2nd tier league" have won the Champions League over the last 10 years, and how many Premier League clubs?

How many REAL clubs are challenging PL with 90pts ? Leicester ? Lmao

Ohhh now, its time to require him to play full PL season? What are you smoking mate? I need some for this summer

Goals against PL top six this season:
Messi - 6
Firmino - 5
Kane - 4
Mane, Auba, Sterling, Lacazette, Vardy - 3
Guess who is playing in PL.
Now say that again, what was that?

The 2nd goal, oh my word. The moment messi got the ball in between the lines, he knows where suarez is and wanted to give it to him. But he was so clever, he ran away from suarez's direction, knowing that he will draw defenders to him and away from suarez. And that's basically what happened which lead to the goal.

Not sure what exactly went wrong.. I thought we played really well. People might say TTA was a big miss and stuffs like that. But, somehow yesterday's was probably the best we could have ever performed.
The scoreline was so cruel and didn't reflect the nature of the game.
Even a single away goal, that we could have got at any moment of the game, would have swung the game in our favour.
Is there any lethal striker available in the market?? Like Suarez, Torres.

ArthurMorgan 7 years ago

Arsenal, England 1 184

Who the fuck is tta

quikzyyy 7 years ago

Arsenal 430 9035

your lethality went wrong, Mane miss, Salah miss. The scoreline does not reflect the actual game, but can't say Barcelona didn't deserve it, Messi was dangerous every single time he had a ball. Good luck in 2nd leg

Ahmoss 7 years ago

AC Milan 0 749

I think Liverpool loses because Jurgen klupp choices and formation 4-3-2-1 they players could not play with it besides players like gomez, Matip, fabinho should set on bench and Arnold, lovern, firmino should play from the start and Dutch player winjuldurum should play on the midfield........ Klupp wtf coach are you

Didn't Real Madrid beat Bayern Munich in some of those Champions Leagues with 2 offside goals from Ronaldo? And what about the one where Casemiro was forgiven red cards? And that's just against your team.

Barca fans need to let the results of their team speak for itself. Why belittle what Real madrid has achieved to prove anything? Especially after a great win.
