Dortmund missing Reus and Paco is a bigger deal than Spurs missing Kane and Alli because Spurs still have adequate replacements in Lucas and Son, unlike Dortmund. Regardless of what you say, Spurs have better squad depth specially in attack. Dortmund was also missing their main RB (Pisczek) and two of their main centre backs Weigl and Akanji.

I hope Spurs will go far in this season competition. They are such a down to earth team and nobody looks up on them. Well Done. !!!

Our Team lacked fluidity today , no tenacity going forward at all . Thankful to Sancho we had a few glimpse of Tottenham’s Goal, I’m so thankful Chelsea bought pulisic btw lol . Hakimi on the other hand is such a liability defensively ..all in all our squad was depleted and can’t find the swagger going forward due to reus’s Absence . Hopefully we can comeback determined in the second leg

They said Dortmund is top of the league table flying high in Bundesliga and English teams are overrated. I say it don't matter when where you fly, when it is CL knockout stage. Spurs well done. It was a proud performance without key players.

A half decent team wouldve walked over this tottenham side. Its a shame Dortmund were too scared to attack spurs's weak defence

Dortmund could have been easier prey in next round, it is good they go out and focus on winning Bayern league..

Pochettino is the most underrated manager in the Premier League, just beat the Bundesliga leaders 3-0 without Kane and Alli. But some folks don't rate him because he hasn't won a Carabao Cup

Hats off to the traveling Dortmund fans for their sustained enthusiasm. They make me long for the adoption of safe standing in England, though I realize it's a touchy subject. I do recognize that Germany takes it a step further to promote such terrific atmospheres with a very fan-friendly culture.

For Spurs, cutting out the unforced errors was critical to turning the match around. From there, Vertonghen had a renaissance going forward after a mediocre first half. Credit to Poch for the positional tweaks. Sissoko stood out to me massively in 2nd half, speaking of renaissances, his continued improvement this season has been a joy to watch. Lloris was outstanding.

And what more can be said about Son? 4 goals in a fortnight with Kane out. He's a club legend in my eyes.

Dortmund played well in the first half, and had edged the chances by then with some excellent offensive passing and clever defending. Second half was a completely different game, with Son going to the left to cancel out the threat of Sancho, and Vertonghen pressing forward to compliment him, and Tottenham simply took over. So proud of the lads, and all without Kane, Dele, Rose and Trippier.
