Props to Lyon, I would say they deserved the win but that would only make sense if they had a goal wrongly disallowed or something, whereas here they were just really poor at finishing. They got unlucky, but you need to actually finish chances in order to be deserving of a win.
I don't think anyone was calling Lyon a farmer club, if thats what you thought.
"The quality is waay lower than that of England or Spain"
Yes, of course it is, the teams don't have the same financial resources. It reflects the fact that the average football fan watches what is presented to him on a plate (i.e EPL, Barca, Real) and fails to explore or understand football being played elsewhere. It's this idea that football is only of quality if it is marketed as such and it plagues club football.
Contrast this with the world cup for example, where respect for smaller teams is the predominant feeling.
I'll also point out that people always whine about the monetization of the sport but then make these farmer comments, which is super hypocritical!
but to an extent i agree- Ederson is overrated.
BTW: Ederson conceded only 5 goals (only 1 from open play) in 14 pl games this season and have one of the highest save success % so far this season, way higher than De Gea
The three most deadly strikers of the premier league era.
Gracing us with his presence, he truly allows the prem to shine that little bit brighter :)
