Not easy to see Messi celebrate like that, just had to get it out of chest. Valencia defense was very impressive

I stopped breathing when Messi went off pitch lol, his muscular problem prevented him from doing accelerations at the end. Hope he will be fit for El Clasico.

I saw a video of Alba asking if he was alright. He made a face saying he was ok, but yeah, he stopped trying to put too much effort to avoid getting injured for real. He will probably be all good for El Clasico.

I dont care for El clasico, hate to say that, we cant risk loosing Messi in the money time. i'd rather see him playing in his Bernabeu training ground 2nd leg.

Goal of the season... God damn Messi how can you score from that angle, with three defenders converging and keeping the top goalie like Neto completely standing still?

Takes out semedo and Alena one of the best players on the pitch and keeps Suarez, coutinho and sergi Roberto the worst players. I just don't understand this dumbass anymore. We were on our way for the comeback until Mr. Idiot decided to take Alena out who was providing major attack power as well as midfield control. This guy still coaching Barca is a crime. Having the best squad in the world and still struggling in the league and cup with poor performance displays. What a shame!

ghenji 8 years ago

Borussia Dortmund 0 1360

right, should have taken raki, sergi out and brought in busi n alba.

Well Said. Semedo who always push from the side and make a threat taken out (well by alba who is also good), BUT wtf is wrong with suares and coutinho, they look like a confused person cannot even make attempt

i was gonna say the same thing! Should have been Serigo for Jordi Alba and Alena ,out of my word! This guy is pure gold for La Masia!

As if they didnt beat teams without him. They beat Real madrid the thougest team in La liga twice without Messi. 4-0 and 5-1. Beat Inter without Messi. Remember they have lost many matches with Messi on as well. It's not black and white. People just dont tend to notice the other barca players impact. Without the threat of Alba, the right side was dead. Without the smooth control of Busquets, the midfield is dead. Rakitic is very good but not on Busi level. And dont forget that, their best defender the last two seasons and worldcup winner Umtitti is still injured. And so is Dembele, who before he also got injured was in a excellent form.

Obviously when you have the arguably the best player in history, he will have a huge impact, thats not a surprise. But to make it seems like Barcelona is Messi is wrong.

I'll tell you why you sound so dumb right now, he had actually scored a beauty right before the PK but the referee instead of waiting, blew the whistle for PK right before he struck the ball...penaldo indeed.

People say La Liga isn't tough. GG Valencia they put up a fight. It's sad how barley anybody in Barcelona steps up when they're needed the most and Messi has to carry the team to a draw or a victory. Help the man.

Before scoring first goal for Valencia, free kick should have been given to Barcelona barejo clearly pushed messi down
So from a favorable position to score Barcelona went down 0-1 due to stupid refere

ForcaCataluna 8 years ago

Barcelona, Argentina 2 455

think it was not called because he brushed the ball as he made contact to messi so it counts as a "good" tackle

Valencia should have killed Barca with their lethal counter, but they were just unlucky. Great tactical from Marcelino and poor performance by Valverde's side. Valencia deserved to win, but Messi came to ruin.

People who think Barca always got referees' backup, should watch this match. Too many wrong calls from the ref and the linesmen. Especially in the second half. Even VAR didn't give Barca a penalty for Gabriel's handball (and he pretended by holding his ribs which is very funny because from the replay we could see that the ball hit his hand).

the ball hit the rib first. Dont just watch the highlight. Consider it win-win situation. lucky barca

FIFA LOTG states deflected balls are not considered as handball, even if the hand is in an unnatural position. Had it struck the arm first, it would have been a PK, but wasn't the case It was the right call. Robbing Messi of a beautiful goal was the biggest mistake, luckily he finished off the penalty.

Denis Cheryshev was fantastic today in my opinion, Rodrigo should have scored the winner from Denis' perfect cross there at the end

Winner of this game is Perez. Considering Barca schedule and suspensions of rakitic and alba against athletic bilbao in san memes.. season just got spoiled by corrupt laliga association.. why madrid does this to us. Also, appointed elclassico ref is Mateu lahoz who is just icing on the cake. And today’s ref appointment was well planned to damage Barca..
