I had this injury once it takes more than 3 weeks for SURE. Question is will they return him after 3 weeks because arm injuries can be tolerated while playing in football. My recovery took 3 months, but in my case I work with my hands and football is just a hobby, so that may have slowed the recovery. Let's hope it won't affect him psychologically like we can see Salah's form was very much affected by an upper body injury. let's wish a full and speedy recovery to the flea!

Nothing to take away from your local doctors but I think Messi's medical staff will also be a little more expensive!

TheLamb 8 years ago

Arsenal, England 2 549

For sure.... But the human body is the human body... Certain things like ligaments take 2-6 months to heal completly no matter how expensive your doctor. A broken bone can heal in some cases faster than a damaged ligament... So it's not so simple. But I do hope you are right.

No way it is affecting him like Salah. Salah had a little too much success that season and that's playing in his head. Even he didnt expect that season. But for messi, it's routine office work. He will just do what he does when he is back.

I pray you are right.

I also wish him speedy recovery. Watching Barca now is much less exciting

Let's see the first El Classico without Messi and Cristiano and see how boring that can be.

Football without Messi, you can feel how empty it will be.

all teams stars should not play every game in the season to save them from injuries ..... only smart coaches do that

lol, 100% of medical staff's goal is to keep messi fit, if not doomed. the season depends on messi and the medical staff.

Doesnt look too good so far. Fractured radius bone. Latest news is that he will probably miss at least 3 weeks.

TheLamb 8 years ago

This injury is more complicated than people realize. It's complicated because he CAN play in 3 weeks maybe but he will have cramps in his arm and back and the whole area isn't going to be the same for a good couple of months atleast - Which may or may not affect him psychologically, his pace, his decisions... Just for an example - It will take him atleast 3 months to return to normal upper body strength - pushups and all that... Footballers need to train their upper bodies physically and mentally. It's connected to confidence too. Wish him the best

right wish him best recovery, you don't want him missing knockout rounds.

I hope that defender that caused Messi's injury has a real shitty week. He didn't need to shove his ass into Messi like that. GG Barca, lets hope our Pulga recovers quick.

Relax dude, Messi fell onto his own arm. It's sad what happened to him but it's a physical sport the defender was doing his job. It's truly unfortunate though that it happened to Messi.

Those Ter Stegen double-double saves and Joachim Low has the gall to leave in the bench when Germany plays? I don't know what else he has to do to play for his national team.

I can't believe Messi gets injured when he was playing so, so well... He was playing like he could've scored a hat-trick easily. I hope the injury in nothing too serious and he can play in El Clásico.

Considering Real's current form I think Barca will probably win even without him. But yeah hopefully he'll be back

I feel so sorry for Seville, they played very good and kept on attacking until the last minute but Barca were just too good for them. I'd say it's time Germany had a new number 1 goalkeeper. Ter Stegen's recovery is unbelievably fast. Get well soon Messi, El Clasico without the GOAT is just not El Clasico. Overall a very good match from both sides.

Neuer has a big reputation on his CV, but yeah based on recent showings I think Ter Stegen has him beat at the moment. Joachim Löw should at least give him the chance to take over the GK spot

xumeey 8 years ago

Liverpool 0 1462

No doubt Neuer is a world class keeper and probably top 3 or top 5 but at the moment it's between Ter Stegen and De Gea.

SUB DEMBOUZ FOR MALCOM, MVP TERSTEGEN , germany needs to replaces NEUR with STEGEN asap. MESSI ALWAYS THE GOAT, GETWELLSOON. Arthur is the future.

Ter Stegen should be Germany`s number one keeper! He has now clearly surpassed Neuer!!

Marc Ter stegen saved today after Messi injury. We have no future with valverde and this team will go down the gutter after Messi retirement. Sevilla outclassed in all departments except for goal keeping..

Barcelona will win La Liga Title this season ..... all circumstances lead to this result

Is it confirmed that he will not play next week? He could recover if the injury is not that bad.
