Messi had u20 World Cup and Olympic Gold Medal. He never disappeared for Argentina. In fact, he won the world cup best player in 2014, Ronaldo had no international individual achievements. Obviously stats and awards alone don't say whos better. But nearly every former/current player, manager, etc. says that Messi is better (Including some players that were teammates with Ronaldo but still say Messi is better. Short List:
