That doesn't mean he shouldn't be sent off. The rule you're talking about is advantage rule, but the ref has to go back and give the appropriate punishment, which in this case is denying a clear goalscoring opportunity = red card.
In case you didn't watch the match, the ref clearly didn't even signal there was a foul when TAA handled the ball. The free kick is contentious, but referees have to make contentious decisions all the time. But when someone handles the ball on the line, there's no contention about that.
