This is why it’s Liverpools year this time. While all the other teams slip here and there... Liverpool is playing consistently on a high level. Consistency is they key in the title race.

I think Spurs just got too overconfident and that is why they lost but i do not think they are out yet...the title race is just more interesting.

Kane has improved so much with his weak foot since breaking onto the scene. Impressive strike.
The introduction of Joao Moutinho was a key turning point. His calming presence reminded me of the days when Villas Boas chased his signature for Spurs around 2012-2013.
Overall it was a really poor second half from Spurs. No shots on target in the final 45 min, and their main threats in the 1st half came from long distance, hopeful strikes.
This same Spurs squad with the 2015-16 fullbacks would be formidable. Ever since that season, a strength has gradually turned into a bit of a weakness in big matches.
I don't know much about the ins and outs of goalkeeping, but Lloris doesn't instill as much confidence in me as he used to.

I'd say his consistency dropped since last year. He's definitely not as good as he was a few seasons ago though

Agreed. He's not as calming of a presence in these important matches as he used to be. It's nice that Gazziniga has looked an excellent shot stopper, but his reading of crosses and corners still makes my anus quiver.

Still better than us Spurs. You are the best team in the league and play the most attractive football. Son is the best winger in the world and Harry Kane is the best Premier League striker ever.

It was physical, to say the least. In Serie A, refs would have used VAR to go back and disallow that goal.

Pochetino every year makes similar mistakes, like simple mistake player fatigue during Winter due to limited rotation in the team. Also, team mental preparation of being too confident and calling themselves title "intruders". Do you want to win the title or not? Otherwise, fall out of the top 4. Spurs are like Roma of EPL.

I would call them a Napoli, considering the amount of talent they have right now.

@Algerino Maybe you are right its just that, Spurs deserve glory and so does Napoli. My favorite player is by far Insigne in Serie A that is why.

They still bottled it, everyone expects Spurs to win and somehow close the gap on Liverpool but of course Spurs can never coup when the pressures on em. Credit to Wolves though, they can really play some good football on their day.

All I'm saying is that making fun of another team's result when your team got thrashed even harder the same day is kinda Ironic.

Far from ironic because we got an expected loss away from home against this season's premierleague title winners. Spurs got an unexpected thrashing at home by a newly promoted midtable team
